The Light Series #39: 4-Year Old Living Miracle, Inspiring Words and Moving Actions

Hello everyone

I believe you'll find this compilation most uplifting and a perfect - and much needed! - counterpoint to the rather despairing material in yesterday's compilation.

There is no denying that despite all apparent odds, miraculous - and definitely not fortuitous - events, persistent people and a healthy rebellious attitude (as in the 21st century's spiritual revolution heralded by Malraux) are conspiring (as in Marilyn Ferguson's "Aquarian Conspiracy") to see us all through these Apocalyptic (in its true meaning of "Revelation") times.

Love, Light and Life Shall Prevail...

"Om shree saché maha prabhu ki jai... Paramatma ki jai... Om shanti shanti shantihi... Om" -- which means... "May the ultimate Truth be victorious, may That which is beyond all boundaries be victorious... May there be Peace, Peace, Peace."

- Mantra mentioned by Anni von Maltzan <Cowpetvi@aol.com> on the Earth Rainbow Village discussion forum

"The rich need to learn to live more simply, so that the poor may simply live."

- GANDHI

Deep peace of the running waves to you,
Deep peace of the flowing air to you,
Deep peace of the quiet Earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you,
Deep peace of the shades of night to you,
Moon and stars always giving Light to you.

"Deep Peace" is a traditional Gaelic blessing sent by Liz Daly <dalyreiki@adelphia.net> who also recommends "Now, I ask that you read this blessing again with the intention of remembrance and resurrection of All That We ARE...you may be a.m.a.z.e.d. beyond a.m.a.z.e.m.e.n.t."

"There are no limitations to the self except those you believe in."

- Seth

"Dwell not on the past. Use it to illustrate a point, then leave it behind. Nothing really matters except what you do now in this instant of time."

- Eileen Caddy

"When love beckons to you, follow him, though his ways are hard and steep. And when his wings enfold you, yield to him, though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you. And when he speaks to you, believe in him... though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden."

- Kahlil Gibran

Jimmy Twyman in Hiroshima

November 27, 2002

Beloved Friends,

I want to tell you about an amazing Psychic Child I met while visiting Japan, and how he is helping us design the new "Spoonbenders" Internet course we will launch in January.

Koya (which means "I am Light") is a four year old Japanese boy who was born completely paralyzed. When he was about one year old, a Japanese healer worked with him, giving him limited use of his body. Almost immediately Koya began trying to communicate with those around him. Though he could not speak, he was soon able to use a letter board to share his insights. He shared his thoughts about world peace and using energy to heal. People have come from all around Japan to be in his presence, and to experience his life-changing ideas. (There are over 400 schools for psychic children in Japan, an amazing fact.)

Early on in my tour of Japan I could feel the presence of a powerful young boy, though I did not know who he was, only that I would soon be meeting him. He told me that he has much to share about using energy to awaken psychic powers and how to use those powers to bring peace. On November 22 we traveled to Hiroshima where around one hundred and fifty people gathered for a peace meditation at the Peace Memorial Park. When I finished my talk the organizers took me by the hand and led me to a small boy lying in a stroller. He could not move much on his own and his father picked him up to bring him close. His mother then held the letter board in front of him and his finger began moving from letter to letter.

One of the first things he said was: "I've been sending you energy for a long time...has you felt it?" I asked him if he is the boy that has been psychically communicating with me and helping me design the "Spoonbenders" course. He touched his finger board and said yes, and that he was glad I felt him. He then offered a profound meditation and chant he said would open important energy centers, allowing us to bend metal with our minds, then use that same power to bend the world towards peace. I have since shared that meditation and chant with several audiences in Japan, and the results have been amazing. It will be one of the foundations of the "Spoonbenders" course. (All of this was videotaped and will soon be available on our website.)

Later that night I performed a concert in Hiroshima, and Koya attended with his parents. When the concert was over he came backstage and said he had a message for us all. This is what he said: "Tell everyone that peace is coming very soon. It will happen very fast and will be very fun. Tell everyone this so they will know."

This experience dramatically impacted me, and now I am even more excitement about presenting the first "Spoonbenders" Internet course. (This is a four week free or by donation course we will launch the beginning of January. The goal is to have over 100,000 people using these powerful techniques, then apply them as a single group to promote peace.) We will be using the chant Koya shared with me, as well as other techniques from the children. I believe that these tools will help anyone master bending metal with the mind, and then use it for much more important applications. Koya said he would continue to work with us, and will share new techniques in the future. (There is a picture of Koya and I on our website, http://www.emissaryoflight.com)

It's amazing how things are falling into place as we step forward as Spiritual Warriors. The time is right for this, and the Universe is supporting us all. For those of you who will be attending the Israel Peace Journey in February, we will have many opportunities to apply this new information. If you still haven't signed up for this trip contact Eva at Eva@2...

Finally, Koya has also asked to share his insights at the Hawaii "Psychic Children Speak to the World" conference this March. We are, of course, inviting him. We also hope you will attend as well. The registration form is finally up on emissaryoflight.com, so sign up today.

In Peace,

James Twyman

Subject: The Tithing Tree - a Christmas website - great idea
From: Sue Ingleton <susoulo@bigpond.com>

Dear Jean,

This website gives us an alternative to Xmas madness - check it out and maybe share it with the network.

Love and blessings

Sue Ingleton

From: http://www.thetithingtree.org.au/site.html

The Tithing Tree

The idea is that you can choose to give all/part of your Christmas present budget to an organisation you are passionate about instead of giving presents/as many presents. In the spirit of Christmas, it creates change in the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves. Furthermore, this simplifies Christmas because you don't have to get caught up in the rush.

"Australians will waste about $357 million on unwanted presents this year. Total Christmas spending in Australia is expected to be $5.78 billion.

- THE SUN (24 Dec 2001)

Imagine if some of that money could be directed to more useful causes. For many people, Christmas is meant to be a time when we rest, reflect, connect and give thanks. But instead many experience Christmas as a time of overindulgence, excessive consumerism, and increased anxiety. In the past, Christmas was the time when we CONSUMED the most, it can now be the time when we CONTRIBUTE the most. And the good news is that it's actually easier to make one simple tithe and create change in the world, than it is to get caught up in the Christmas rush finding presents for everyone. You may feel that you would miss the act of giving or exchanging presents. See Making it Work for some useful suggestions and different combinations of Christmas giving.

What is Tithing? CLIP

Dear Jean,

Thank you for this excellent compilation. The article of Dr Greer is remarkable in dismantling the pseudotruths a most wellknown producer, followed by many others, consciously or not is trying to feed down our throats. It is comforting to read that there are obviously many lightworkers who have penetrated the army, so when the day comes, the shift will be easier, although a smooth shift seems hardly possible anymore, since pollution of every kind has penetrated every aspect of life.

With love and many thanks

CONGO (Conference of NGOs) Newsletter - November 25, 2002

Welcome to the CONGO NGO Committee on Spirituality, Values and Global Concerns

The Spiritual Caucus at the UN Geneva started on UN day, October 24 2001, as an initiative of few people feeling the need to address critical and timely world issues in a new and different way, shifting from the material to the spiritual paradigm. This caucus has been an active forum of organizations and their representatives interested in bringing the many different aspects of the spiritual dimension in all areas of the UN agenda and global public policy by encouraging a spiritual perspective within the international community and making written contributions for inclusion in United Nations declarations and programs of action relating to spirituality, values and global concerns. It is grounded in the recognition of the importance of spirituality and values to a future of inner and outer peace, respect and dignity for all.

On October 30 , 2002, the Spiritual Caucus merged into an official committee of CONGO and is now the CONGO NGO Committee on Spirituality, Values and Global Concerns.

Membership to the Committee is open to NGOs in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the UN and members of CONGO. Participation is open to NGOs, government officials, UN civil servants, UN missions, organizations and individuals that are willing to include the spiritual dimension in their lives, work and to the broader area of global public policy.

Human Self-Realization: The Answer to Globalization

Are the existing frameworks we use today to dictate public policy, effective enough? If not, what is the alternative? These were questions Mr. Alfredo Sfeir-Younis, the Special Representative of the World Bank to the UN and WTO, posed to the packed gathering in a room of the Palais des Nations, during his lecture on Spirituality and Public Policy.

MINUTE FOR PEACE DAY - December 22, 2002

December 22 is just three days before Christmas. In our new millennium Christmas is of increasing importance, with its message of "Peace and Good Will."

Let every radio and TV station fill the day with minutes of music and words that inspire peaceful actions. Help us unite as one human family in new understanding and care for this wonderful nest in the stars: Planet Earth, our home.

A Minute for Peace Day brought global attention for the way to peace back in 1963. December 22, 1963 was when we ended the period of mourning for President Kennedy with a global minute of silent prayer for peace on our planet. That special minute (1 p.m. in Dallas, 1900 GMT) was broadcast worldwide and affected people all over the world.

Let's turn the tables on 9-11 by joining all over the world in Minutes for Peace all day on December 22 -- just three days before Christmas. Christmas can then be a turning toward peace, with our neighbor and our world.

World Trade Center Tragedy and What To do.

The horrific event on 9-11 showed us the power of hate. But love is more powerful than hate and December 22 provides a special opportunity to prove it.

"Hatred does not cease by hatred. Hatred ceases only by love." Gandhi, and others, have demonstrated non-violent methods of opposing what was wrong.

Martin Luther King described the power of love in his book "Strength To Love" -- and gave his life to prove it. Now, strength to "kill" is being advocated as the way to stop violence.

To settle differences, war is advocated far more than peace. The search engine google.com has 39,000,000 items when you type in "War" and only 13,000,000 when you type in "Peace."

Actions good or bad begin in the mind. Here is a way to reverse the damage done to people's thinking by media's headlines for violence and silence about the proven benefits of forgiveness, compassion and cooperation for common goals. The World Trade Center tragedy was the result of media failure to feature the work of the Franciscans and many other groups who were seeking the peaceful nurture of people and planet.

Earth Trustees

A new idea that came from Minute for Peace and Earth Day, was the idea that we can now all think of ourselves as Trustees of Earth. In this age of Space exploration we know -- more than former generations -- that we are one human family and have only one Earth. With care and use of new technology we can now eliminate poverty, pollution and violence. All we need is a clear vision of our goal and reports on Internet - and in the media - of every successful effort to think and act as Trustees of Earth -- in ecology, economics and ethics. This course of action can appeal to the most people on our planet and do the most good.

Then a new spirit of cooperation will engulf the world. With half the money we spend on wars we can make our planet a Garden of Eden.

As we honestly work together we will see all around us the waste of wealth and its unfair monopolization by those in power. The solution is not to condemn the few in positions of power, but to demonstrate solutions and win their support -- not by the power of money or military might -- but by the power of truth, of good ideas and good will.

Then with the power of the words "Love one another" we will reverse the direction of "9-11"and welcome the beginning of an era of peaceful progress in the new millennium.

On December 22, talk peace, think peace, pray for peace, have faith for peace all over the world - in the home, at work in global relations of countries and corporations -- in all human institutions.

As soon as you receive this message, take action. Pray, and Plan what you will do. Call your friends. Contact media, churches, colleges. Act now -- with faith that accents the positive and negates the negative. "Oh the faith that works by love."

Happy Thanksgiving!!! I am so glad you are in my life!

When I woke up at 2am this morning I was struck by the peace of the night with the little bright moon streaming light into all of my windows. There was total silence and I felt suspended in time. I laid there and wished this peace for the entire earth and made a blanket of it to wrap around every anxiety in my own being and then I gave the blanket to the earth and to all of her inhabitants torn by ecological disruptions and destructions and wars and little inconsiderations and words and actions everywhere that tear at the fabric of peace in every aspect of life everywhere... I created all of the minds that understand and live peace to continue to strengthen a new vision for the world, to keep our conviction and our focus for it to be first within us and then to radiate from us and to multiply it and exponentially grow it so that it becomes the prevailing thought-form and so beautiful and appropriate that no one in the world could deny the obvious practicality of love and sharing and consideration for every living thing.

I thought about the merciless ways we factory farm animals and forests and waters of the earth with their beautiful beings at the mercy of our unconscionable irreverent and atrocious behaviors and I called for that to cease forever and to replace it with the obvious consideration and kindness we wish for ourselves. I called for the co-creation of these things by heaven and earth and the seen and unseen... and I called you in my consciousness to tell you that I love you and wish for your evolution and your peace and our friendship and love to radiate its strength and its light for the highest purposeful good into the light of all eternity... and to deposit it in the big bank in the sky to be compounded and drawn upon when needed by anyone in need evermore. These things I share with you now in the spirit of we create our own realities and the quantum world which allows us to do so. In observation of this day and of every day and moment we are aware, I wish you peace and love and dreams and joy.

Marcia

LAND OF FEAR

Recently I overheard two people talking about Iraq. One asked the other: "Why don't the Iraqi people just rise up and get rid of Saddam Hussein? The other replied: "For the same reason the American people don't rise up and get rid of George W. Bush."

That interesting talk was lost in some noise and I couldn't hear the rest. So, what is the reason? Are most people happy with their leaders? Are most people identifying with their leaders? Probably so, and several other reasons come to mind.

But fear seems to sum them up. It seems to me that the Iraqi people are afraid and the American people are afraid-of different things and in different ways-but fear is the common factor. And in a land of fear, when a tyrant, knave or fool is given the right to rule, the people always suffer.

I am reminded of the bully and the gang who, riven by unacknowledged fear, attack the weak and the isolated to build themselves up. This can apply to a country. If the people of a country are openly fearful, they might select a leader who exemplifies courage or power, or one who can pretend to do so. But if they are unaware of their fear they might select a bully. Then, not only the leader, but a whole nation might be a bully, and a coalition of such nations might be a gang. The nation and the coalition might consider themselves to be the righteous advocates of a noble cause which gives them the right to attack the weak and the isolated and steal from them. On the personal scale it might happen like this: A bully or a gang picks out some weakness or strangeness in an isolated individual and uses it to justify belittling, stealing, hurting or even killing. The victim is forced for self-protection to say or do what the bully wants, but whatever is said or done is always the wrong thing. The resulting attack is then 'justified' by the bully who, blind to his cruelty, is puffed up with power as the victim squirms.

I doubt if anyone has not experienced this sort of wrong human relationship-from one side or the other, at one time or another. I would guess that most of us are acquainted with both sides of the process. And when it happens again, rather than indignantly interfere, many would rather not be involved, would rather step away or not look, or do anything to avoid being the victim again.

But not being involved when the bully attacks is another form of complacency, and complacency is just another form of fear. Complacency is only a short step away from a more dangerous state: Having been hurt, or having witnessed degradations, or felt weak, strange or alone, one may be drawn by the unacknowledged fear to side with the bully and the gang. Identifying oneself with bravado and belligerence provides the feeling of power that disguises weakness and hides the black hole of oblivion. Unconsciously, everyone dreads oblivion. Everyone in some way or another wants to be powerful, to have control over his or her destiny. Identifying with a nation, a leader or a cause allows a person who feels threatened, weak, alone and afraid to feel powerful and possessed by a greater destiny. As the individual is, so is the country. And so the personal processes translate into the scale of nations.

The people of Iraq, for example, living in poverty and fear, identify themselves with a tyrannical leader. The leader, who epitomizes the power they lack, bullies them, yet pleases them by talking back to a giant. Nothing they can say or do will save them from attack. The people of America, living in abundance and fear, identify themselves with a foolish leader. The leader, who epitomizes their unconscious fear, goads them into bullying a midget. They corner the victim and make him squirm.

This is not the way to live together as human beings. We must no longer base our lives on the fear of oblivion and the cruelty it engenders. For the sake of survival and growth, we must choose a better way. The very first step is to realize that fear rules our lives. The second step is to face fear and see it for what it is-a false condition that disintegrates when faced.

The third step is to be aware that the sense of oblivion is a false perception of the Source from which we come. With the Light, the Love and the Power of the Source to guide us, we can and must begin a new way to live-not later, but now.

HUMANITARIAN GROUP FINED $50,000 FOR BRINGING MEDICINE TO IRAQ

On November 6 the U.S. Treasury Department imposed $20,000 in fines on Chicago-based Voices in the Wilderness (VitW), a campaign to end the sanctions on Iraq. On December 5 at 10 AM members of VitW will hold a press conference on the 2nd floor of Grace Place, 637 S. Dearborn, Chicago. They will affirm that they have traveled to Iraq in nonviolent defiance of US/UN sanctions and announce that they intend to raise thousands of dollars to continue breaking the embargo.

Sue Mackley, Nathan Mauger and others who have returned from Iraq in the past few weeks will be joined by delegates scheduled to travel to Iraq before the end of the year.

These fines are for delivering medicine to Iraq without a permit in 1998. They are directed against VitW co-founder and double Nobel Peace Prize nominee Kathy Kelly of Chicago. Dan Handleman, of Portland, Oregon, was simultaneously fined $10,000 for alleged travel-related expenses incurred during a 1997 VitW delegation to Iraq. Earlier this year, Bert Sacks and Rev. Randall Mullins, both of Seattle, were fined $10,000 each for taking part in the same 1997 delegation. They refused to pay, and instead raised over $10,000 to buy more medicine to bring to Iraq. This medicine was delivered by Sacks last September.

The fines come as VitW is sending Americans and other internationals to Iraq almost every week to take part in its Iraq Peace Team. Currently there are 16 volunteers in Baghdad with Iraq Peace Team. In the event of another US military assault on Iraq, they intend to help coordinate humanitarian efforts, offer independent reporting, and stand in solidarity with Iraqi civilians.

"We will not consent to pay any fine,” said Kathy Kelly, currently in Baghdad with the Iraq Peace Team. “We simply reject the government's contention that we cannot carry medicine to the sick, and assert that it is a greater evil to let the children die."

Since January, 1996, VitW has sent over fifty delegations to Iraq. In addition to medicine, they have illegally brought to Iraq toys, medical books and journals, blood bags, pens and pencils for schools. Voices in the Wilderness representatives will be available to speak publicly and with the media. VitW has sent hundreds of delegates from over forty states- for local representatives, please contact us directly at 773 784 8065.
