Subject: The Women's Tribunal

For this Horror, euphemistically called the Israeli/Palestinian 'war', to even BEGIN to be settled, the Israelis MUST understand that it is THEIR FEAR, THEIR OWN TERROR, that's birthed the Palestinian resistance fighters. the resistance has sprung from the loins of Israel's leaders' Fear.

The Women's Tribunal idea MUST be given a chance!

The Tribunal shall consist of 9 Israeli women, 9 Palestinian women, all of whom MUST be determined to initiate a bilateral peaceful co-existence, and each group of women having the full authority of their respective States (since the males have been and continue to expose their complete impotence with regard to making ANY progress whatever toward a mutual peace; the male leaders on BOTH sides have demonstrated over decades that they are able to come up with NO workable solutions as to how to initialize a mutual recognition of each other's right to exist securely within each one's own SOVEREIGN State).

Therefore, be it resolved: the Women of the Tribunal will arrive at their collective decision in a place of their own choosing; their security will be assured by (armed, if deemed necessary) guardians chosen for the purpose; the women will take as much or as little time as they require to reach their determinations. and when the Tribunal's initial Plan has been formulated, it will be implemented forthwith by their respective governments without modification or amendment.

Clearly, our collective experience over the past 54 years has amply made it clear to all that THERE IS NO OTHER WAY to solve this horrendous, deeply disturbing, heart-wrenching impasse wch sadly has come to intimately involve the entire world. WE, the People of the World, REFUSE TO ACCEPT the continuation of this war of attrition of innocents! either we ALL learn to co-exist peacefully with each other, or we doom our civilization to extinction -- there IS no in-between.

I urge all of us to agree to let the Bringers of Life decide.

Lesley Whiting <desertmoon1012001@yahoo.com> sent this feedback Re: the Women's Tribunal idea

Dear Jean,

I fully support this initiative in the conviction that the energy of the feminine is an absolute must to balance the out-of-control-masculine war-mongering of the current Israeli government, and do beleive that women of integrity and conscience of both sides of the conflict could be found to fulfill the mission. I believe the energetic foundations for this emergence of the feminine in Jerusalem has already been laid at the Lightworkers conference in Nov 2001. I wonder how does the author view the process of the selection of those women?

I took the liberty of forwarding the piece to Gila Svirsky of "Women in Black" in Jerusalem, a movement represented by Israeli and Palestinian women against the occupation and committed to working together for a just solution.

Truly

Jean

I know there is this tension between holding peace and being aware of what is going on in the world. We lightworkers have been told we have our heads in the sand and are not taking steps to change the world. But what we focus on expands - and it seems that each of your recent emails focus more and more on the "negative," on what we do not wish to create. I am not sure what the balance is - how to stay informed without losing focus. My sense is that the recent emails are out of balance - at least for me.

Something else to remember - while we may need/choose to act in response to what we read about what is going on, let our acting arise from our beingness, rather than being a "knee jerk" reaction of needing to fix or control what is going on "out there."

Thank you for your service.

Blessings,

Bonnie

AND MY REPLY WAS:

Dear Bonnie

Interestingly I've been telling myself the very same thing this past week. I'm very much aware that it's been some time since I networked material in the Light-only category. But the fact is that the sheer volume of emails I receive that focus on the recent events that occurred since Israel went into a killing rampage to avenge their own civilian deaths and the very, very little I received which dealt with this (and other issues) from a higher perspective mean that my resulting "coverage" is lop-sided towards the negative focus you deplore.

Now that the worst is perhaps over, there will be hopefully more people taking responsibility to generate material and undertake initiatives that will help bring back some balance into what comes into our email boxes. I already have a hard time keeping up with the ongoing flow of material to review and compile, and so I think I should not be expected to be the only one responsible for generating material and ideas that may help bring things towards a higher, more balanced focus - such as what I do through the Meditation Focus work. This is really a collective responsibility. But thanks anyway, really! I'll do my best to redress this situation and hopefully this comment will help stimulate more contributing participations in the positive category from others on this list.

Subject: 'Sulha': Healing Abraham's Family

On December 11th, 2001 the Peacemaker Community of Israel sponsored a special event called "Healing Abraham's Family". The 'Sulha'(reconciliation), took place at Amirei Hagalil cultural resort in the Upper Galilee. Over a hundred Jews, Christians, Muslims, Druze, European, American and Native American guests came to celebrate together the festivals of Hanukkah and Ramadan. The gathering was held on the 3rd night of Hanukkah and the holiest night of Ramadan, Laylat il-Qadr, "the night of power". The Christmas holiday was also honored.

A highlight of the event was when we sat in a large circle and passed an olive branch as the "talking piece". Each person holding it had a chance to speak from the heart and participate in the "talking circle".

Elias Jabbour -- a Christian Arab who runs "the House of Hope" peace center and who brought a large contingent of family members and friends from the Galilee city of Shfar'am - kicked off the talking circle by speaking about 'sulha' the traditional Arab form of reconciliation. Elias, a leading expert on the sulha ritual, is also the son of Jabbour Jabbour, renowned throughout the Galilee during his lifetime as a great peacemaker for successfully bringing sulha to many conflict situations.

The key components for a successful sulha, says Elias, are that a) the two sides must be willing to forgive each other; and b) each side arrive and leave with a feeling of dignity. The Sulha ceremony ends with a physical embrace, such as a handshake.

The children present also joined in sharing their visions of peace. Everyone was particularly moved when Ron, an 11-year-old from Tel Aviv, broke out in tears as he expressed his deep desire to serve the cause of peace when he grows up. Two young Palestinians from the family of Ibrahim Abu Elhawa from the Mt. of Olives in Jerusalem also shared their wish for peace.

Joel Jojola, representing "the pre-Abrahamic people of Noah" of the Isleta Pueblo Native American people, joined the circle as representative of a peace delegation from New Mexico. After offering a traditional Native American blessing, he shook the hand of everyone in the circle. Later, he performed a special dance of his people for the healing of the Holy Land.

Speaking in Arabic, Eliyahu McLean explained that when the world sees the Holy Land these days, they see that it has become 'ard il-hurub'--'the land of war1, and that it is our responsibility to transform the Land to it's true purpose: to be 'ard il-salaam'--'the Land of Peace'.

Representing the Druze community was Shaykh Kamal Najib Ibrahim, from Sajour village, head of the Druze religious council. He offered a blessing from his people for peace in the Holy Land and while holding the olive branch, spoke of the olive as a symbol of peace.

As the sun set and hearts opened, the time arrived for the Ramadan break-fast and Gabriel Meyer offered a blessing over the meal, which the Jewish hosts prepared to honor the many Muslim guests who had arrived. These included Omar, who runs the Arrabe village'peace tent' and many members from his extended family, old and young; and Ze'ev, a kitchen staff worker, who grew up in a religious Jewish settlement. Zev described how the feeling of warmth he felt at that Ramadan meal reminded him of the feeling he associated with sitting around the Shabbat dinner table.

After a break of celebration, where Arabs and Jews sang and danced together, many other special guests shared from the heart their visions of peace: Devorah Brous of Bustan L'Shalom; Rabbi Ohad Ezrahi from Hamakom (the "Yeshivashram"); Israeli film actor Alon Abutbul; Shai Zarchi from Kibbutz Ganigar and the spiritual leader of Oranim- beit midrash of the Kibbutzim; the leader of the Reform beit midrash in Haifa; and others ranging from businessmen to students from Jerusalem, Haifa and Tel Aviv. From the US amongst others were Reuven & Yehudit Goldfarb from Berkely and Jan Passion from the Nonviolent Peaceforce.

One Muslim woman declared; "the moment I walked in this room today I felt the love here."

After we sung together the song with the refrain: "let the way of the heart shine through...all hearts are beating as one", a young Druze, Mahadi, from nearby Maghar village translated the song and led everyone in singing it in Arabic.

Jamal Musa and Salah Ali of the Israeli Ministry of Religions (Muslim branch) arrived to bless the gathering. Jamal shared how just days before he had led a delegation of shaykhs and imams to Rambam hospital in Haifa to visit victims of the recent terrorist attack there, and how the doctors, nurses, attack survivors and imams all broke down in tears together.

While the main gathering was taking place, there was a separate space for the children's program. The many children who came enjoyed a program replete with acrobatics and art.

Since this evening was Laylat il-Qadr, the Muslim shaykhs joined us only later in the evening, after first addressing their home town mosques. Shaykh Abed from Kfar Yasif was joined by Shaykh Khaled Nizim from Jedaide and Shaykh Musa Brick, Imam of Abu Snan. Shaykh Abed delighted the crowd with his humor and passionate call for harmony between the children of Abraham. Musa Brick shared the significance of "the night of power" for Muslims, when they stay up all night and finish intensive reading of the Quran and prepare spiritually for the Id al-fitr festival.

Orthodox rabbi and Hasid of late rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, Micha Odenheimer explained the significance of Hannukah and then offered the blessings over the Hanukkiah. After offering a prayer for peace from the Christian perspective, Elias Jabbour lit the first candle, followed by Shaykh Abed who lit the second candle and Mahadi, who lit the third.

Finally, the evening closed with a shared zikr1 (a Sufi ceremony of remembrance), and music by members of the band Sheva. Many people, Jews, Muslims, Christians, Druze and others said that this gathering was the most special event they had ever been to and that it filled them with much hope for a peaceful shared existence in the Holy Land.

This event was the first in a series of local reconciliation gatherings with Jews and Arabs throughout Israel. These will culminate in a "Traveling Peace Caravan": a three week journey of a nomadic sulha1 going from the Galilee to Jerusalem.

Presently, the only news heard about Arab-Jewish relations in the Holy Land is of violence, bombs, and killing. The intention of organizer Gabriel Meyer was "to manifest good news". The celebration was felt by many as a means to transform the current reality of fear and conflict through joy. This was but a first step to rebuild trust and fight against ignorance of 'the other' by sharing and celebrating each other's cultures and religious traditions.

Shalom, Salaam,

Friends,

Sharon seems to be our worst nightmare come true, but he's not nearly finished. Since this Intifada erupted, over 1,700 Palestinians and over 400 Israelis have been killed, with some 35,000 Palestinians and 4,000 Israelis wounded. So far. The terrorist attacks in Israel are horrible, but they have been used by Sharon to carry out deeds far in excess of "destroying the terrorist infrastructure". The Israeli army deliberately trashed the inside of every Palestinian institution that it did not entirely destroy -- schools, charities, health organizations, banks, radio and TV stations, even a puppet theater...in addition to all the records of every government ministry. In a few locations, Israeli tanks even rolled over mosques and cemeteries. How many new terrorists did the army create as it "destroyed their infrastructure"?

The damage to Israeli society is another part of the nightmare: the unapologetic racism (expelling Palestinians -- the avowed plan of several cabinet members), the heightened militarization of our children (encouraged by schools to write thank-you letters and send packages to our soldiers), the deliberate lies in the media (humanitarian aid given to the refugees, when it wasn't), the clampdown on criticism (an evening in honor of a famous, older singer cancelled because she supported the refuseniks), and the ongoing portrayal of foreign protest against Israel as anti-Semitic. And these are but single examples when many more could be given.

While all wars are violent and brutal, this war -- compared with the others through which I have lived in Israel (Six Day, Yom Kippur, Lebanon) and the 'first' Intifada -- has seen more brutal attacks on civilian targets, more flouting of international law, more looting by soldiers, more destruction of non-military property and goods, more humiliation of the other, and more deliberate cover-up -- denial of access to journalists, human rights workers, and relief organizations; and opposition to the UN investigative commission -- than any other.

It worries me terribly. And Sharon has not said 'no' to the question of whether or not Gaza is next on his hit list.

And now, the quarter glass that is full:

The peace march was called for 7 p.m. last night, and only a few hundred people had shown up by that hour. It didn't surprise me: In the morning, a large peace demonstration had been held in Nazareth, and in the afternoon refuseniks had held a vigil opposite Prison #6 to support those brave men who were inside for having refused to serve in the army of occupation. Who would have the energy for yet another big march and rally in the evening?

10,000 people, apparently, had the energy. The slow march through Tel-Aviv streets was impressive, led by big banners proclaiming "The Occupation is Killing us All". Many loud contingents marched, and the presence of many Palestinian citizens of Israel could be heard in the mix of Hebrew and Arabic slogans. The prize for most dramatic went to "Kveesa Shchora [black laundry]: Lesbians and Gay Men for Peace", who wore pink scarves over black clothes and walked chained to each other and with their eyes blindfolded, carrying placards "The media are keeping us in the dark".

The crowd filled the Museum Plaza, and speaker after speaker -- Jewish, Palestinian, women, men -- gave impassioned pleas for ending the occupation and negotiating a just peace. A particularly dramatic moment came to hear the voice of Dr. Moustafa Barghouti, president of the Union of Palestinian Medical Relief Committees (UPMRC), who spoke from Ramallah by cell-phone pressed up against the mike. He received an ovation when he said emotionally, "Sharon has destroyed our homes, our schools, our shops, our hospitals, but he has not succeeded in destroying our unrelenting hope for a just peace, the state of Palestine side by side with the state of Israel." Rela Mazali struck a chord by declaring that women also refuse -- to raise our children to fight in war, to live in a military-state, to support our partners or children who serve in the army. In a country where the army is sacred, these blasphemous thoughts are a breath of fresh air. Refusenik Idan Landau reported that 45 men are sitting in prison right now -- an unparalleled number in this country -- for refusing to serve in the occupation, with hundreds waiting to fill up more jails if necessary. Idan said that the Israeli media do not tell the full story, and that if we ever saw the reality of what the army has done, "we would not have one moment of serenity".

It was a moment of respite from the endless chainsaw of anti-Arab, anti-Palestinian, anti-European propaganda that grinds out at us all day long, not just from politicians, but from hairdressers, teachers, talk-show hosts and callers, taxi-drivers (I'm off buses for the duration), neighbors, and ... well, even some of my best friends.

So, it's back to our separate peace actions tomorrow: vigils, aid convoys, checkpoint monitoring, guarding homes about to be demolished (until they are demolished), relief work, leafletting, petitions, newspaper ads, and our many individual acts of refusal -- refusal to serve in the army, refusal to support violence as a way to solve problems, refusal to be enemies. And if all we accomplished tonight was to remind each other that we are not alone, that too was important.

And a word of deep gratitude for all the hard work for peace that you do from outside the region. We know that it comes from a place of caring. Together, we shall overcome.

Shalom, Salaam from Jerusalem,

Gila Svirsky

JJ Hurtak's Stunning Discoveries of Ancient Underground Tunnels

By Paul White

http://www.ascension2000.com/hurtak.htm

http://www.eu.spiritweb.org/Spirit/keys-of-enoch.html

Since the declassification of the new ground-penetrating radar 2 years ago, the most staggering data has emerged of complex and labyrinthine underground systems in various parts of the world. At places like Guatemala in the South Americas, tunnels have been mapped under the Mayan pyramid complex at Tikal, which extend a full 800 kilometres to the opposite side of the country. Investigators remarked, it was possible to understand how half a million Mayan Indians escaped the decimation of their culture.

In similar fashion, the SIRA radar was deployed in Egypt as early as 1978, mapping an extraordinary subterranean complex beneath the Egyptian pyramids. Arrangements made with President Sadat of Egypt, resulted in three decades of top secret excavations to penetrate the system. At a recent meeting in Australia, one of the key scientists on the Giza project, Dr. Jim Hurtak, showed film footage of work in progress called, CHAMBERS OF THE DEEP, due to be released at the end of the century.

The film reveals the discovery of a vast megalithic metropolis, 15,000 years old, reaching several levels below the Giza plateau. While the rest of the Nu-Age speculates about a hidden chamber under the left paw of the Sphinx, the legendary "City Of The Gods", lays sprawled beneath. Complete with hydraulic underground waterways, the film shows massive chambers, the proportions of our largest cathedrals, with enormous statues, the size of the Valley of the Nile, carved in-situ. Researchers, risking their lives with lights and cameras, carefully negotiated rubber dinghies across subterranean rivers and kilometer-wide lakes, to penetrate sealed chambers beyond. Already, remarkable caches of records and artifacts have been found.

It is the legacy of a civilization and a technology way beyond our own. A technology capable of creating a vast underground city, of which the sphinx and pyramids are merely the surface markers. The project scientist, Dr. Hurtak, likens it to the impact of contact with an advanced extraterrestrial culture. He described it as the discovery of the Fourth Root culture, the so-called Atlantean civilization, destroyed by the last earth tumble. It presents unequivocal evidence that all languages, cultures and religions trace back to a single common source, which Dr. Hurtak refers to as the "Parent Civilization".

The technology unearthed is way beyond machine technology, as we know it. As Arthur C. Clark once joked, "any technology beyond our own would seem like magic to us." According to Dr. Hurtak, this was a culture who cracked the genetic code and possessed the keys of the physical spectrum, the "Higher Light Physics" of the ancients... everything old Gilgamesh went searching for in his famous trek to the lost "City of the Gods" to search the tunnels beneath "Mt. Mashu" in the desert lands.

Hurtak refers to a "language of light" and a great priest-scientist of the previous time cycle, named ENOCH, who is associated with the building of the Great Pyramid complex. Hurtak alludes to a grand spiritual science, a science which describes a genetic stairway to the stars.

The priest-scientist ENOCH, is a prediluvian patriarch, one of the most famous and seminal characters of the previous time cycle. Father of Methuselah and great grandfather of Noah, Enoch is credited in the Bible as architect of the original Zion, the legendary "City of Yahweh", as well as inventor of the alphabet and calendar. Enoch is also history's first astronaut, who "is taken aloft by the Lord" and shown "the secrets of earth and heaven". He returns to earth with the "weights and measures" for all humankind.

Known to the Egyptians as THOTH, the "Lord of Magic and Time" and to the Greeks as HERMES, "messenger of the gods", he is even remembered in the Celtic tradition as the enigmatic wizard Merlin, who disappears up an apple tree to mythic Avalon, seeking the secret of immortality and vowing to return.

As one who attained immortality, the secret of how we "might become as gods", Thoth/Enoch promises to return at the end of time "with the keys to the gates of the sacred land." In the controversial Dead Sea Scrolls, revealing the lost Books Of Enoch removed from the Bible by early religious leaders, Enoch describes a wondrous civilization in the past, who misused the keys of higher knowledge and were unable to save themselves from the last cataclysm. Both literally and figuratively they lost the "keys", they lost all higher knowledge.

Yet, Enoch, along with many traditions, even the Mayan legend of Quetzacoatal, promises a return of this knowledge at "The end of time", the end of the present time cycle. Biblical Revelations promise "all will be revealed" at the end of the present world. The extraordinary discoveries in Egypt and other parts of the world, describe not just an advanced technology but, evolutionary path beyond our present state.

Careful scientific examination of the world's key pyramid sites, reveal them to be sophisticated harmonic structures, not only mirroring positions of the planets and stellar systems but, designed to mimic the chakras and harmonic cavities of the human body. Even each stone within the Great Pyramid is harmonically tuned to a specific frequency or musical tone. The sarcophagus in the centre of the Great Pyramid is tuned to the frequency of the human heart beat.

Astonishing experiments, conducted by Dr. Hurtak and colleagues at the Great Pyramid and other sites in the South Americas, demonstrate the pyramids to be voice-activated "geophysical computers." Intoning specific ancient sounds, the scientific team produced visible standing waves of light, above and within the pyramids and were even able to penetrate, hitherto, inaccessible chambers. Subsequent discoveries indicate the ancient priest-scientists employed some sort of harmonic sound technology within the temple structures.

The lost Enochian knowledge reveals the mother tongue as a "language of Light". Known to the ancients as HIBURU, it is the primal seed language, introduced at the beginning of this time cycle. Modern research confirms, the most ancient form Hebrew to be a natural language, the alphabetic forms emerging from the phosphene flare patterns of the brain. The same shapes, in fact, born of a spinning vortex. It is a true language of light, coursing through our very nervous system.

Encoding the natural waveform geometries of the physical world, Hiburu is a harmonic language, mimicking the waveform properties of light. The "keys" Enoch speaks of, turn out to be sound keys, keys to be vibratory matrix of reality itself, the mythic "Power of the World". The Enochian knowledge describes sonic equations, encoded within the ancient mantras and god names, capable of directly affect the nervous system and producing profound effect of healing and higher consciousness states.

As the ancient texts declare, "If you would speak with the gods you must first learn the language of the gods."

DNA, the ancient cabalistic "Tree Of Life" portrayed in the Biblical Torah, is now coming to be viewed as a live vibrating structure, rather than a fixed tape recording. Many modern scientists, regard DNA as a shimmering, waveform configuration, able to be modified by light, radiation, magnetic fields or sonic pulses. The legacy of Thoth/Enoch suggests this "language of Light", the harmonic science of the ancients, could actually affect DNA.

The evidence in Egypt, indicates this was the grand 6,000 year genetic experiment attempted by the Egyptians, the quest for immortality and the stars, a quest described by the great ones of old, a quest initiated by Gilgamesh so very long ago. The Egyptians were not fixated on the afterlife, as thought by early Christian translators but, focussed on creating a higher type of human. Along with many ancient cultures, they believed DNA came from the stars and was destined to return.

The knowledge of Thoth/Enoch implies humans are meant to evolve beyond our present terrestrial form, as the Bible tells us, "we may become greater than angels". The Egyptians record stories of the "Star Walkers", occasional individuals who, like Enoch, travelled "beyond the Great Eye of Orion" and returned, to walk like gods amongst men. Despite the bleaching of semi-divine beings from modern consciousness, could it be possible, as the ancient texts insist, we are destined to "become as gods"? are the Mayan "Lords of Light" and the Egyptian/Tibetan "Shining Ones" really a higher form of human?

According to many earth legends, such beings are supposed to return regularly, at the beginning and end of each time cycle, the 13,000 year half-point of our solar system's 26,000 year zodiacal orbit around galaxy centre. Because of conditions on our galactic orbit, these 13,000 year intervals or "worlds", seem to be separated by cataclysmic upheaval.

According to the "calendar in stone" of the Great Pyramid, which describes the so-called "Phoenix Cycle" of our galactic orbit, the present time period ends (converted to our present calendar) in the year 2012 AD. The Greek word PHOENIX, derived from the Egyptian word, PA-HANOK, actually means, "The House of Enoch".

The Enochian knowledge suggests, these regular cataclysmic changes act as an evolutionary agent provocateur, to quicken the resident life forms to the next evolutionary phase, prior to exodus from the womb planet. Human evolution may proceed more rapidly than previously thought. The evidence now appearing, records civilizations before us, who mastered the physical continuum and progressed beyond this world. There were also those who failed. We, too, have equal opportunity to make it or break it.

The discoveries emerging from Egypt, describe the existence of a world wide pyramid temple system in prehistory, mounted like antennae on the key energy meridians, which were employed by ancient priest-scientists as a musical system to stabilize the tectonic plates of the planet... cataclysmic geology at it's finest. From the mother tongue word JEDAIAH, meaning "the way of the Word" or "the power of the Word", the ancient JEDAI priests used the language of Light to tune the planet like a giant harmonic bell. Much is being rediscovered in the last days of this time cycle. In the words of Dr. Jay Franz, of the Omega Foundation, "even if we don't dare to name it, there is a universal feeling of something impending on the world stage."

[Wilcock note: This material, when combined with the discoveries touted by Dannion Brinkley and Robert Ghostwolf as well as the work of Professor Scott and Aaron Du Val with the ruins at Bimini, (covered in Convergence II) shows us that we are definitely on the verge of stunning realizations of exactly how advanced the Atlantean culture and society really was. Hurtak's channeled work "Keys of Enoch" covers much of the esoteric information referred to in the latter portion of this document. Hurtak's credibility is very solid and thus this is exciting news.]

*Just after the Deluge, at the dawn of the present time cycle, an era the Egyptians called ZEP TEPI, "The First Times", a mysterious group of "gods" appeared, to initiate the survivors in the rudiments of civilization. From Thoth and Osiris in Egypt, to Quetzalcoatl and Viracocha in the Americas, traditions worldwide subscribe the origins of contemporary civilization to this sophisticated group.

Despite the misleading popularity of Von Daniken journalism, evidence from around the world, indicates these people were the hi-tech survivors of the previous civilization. Like the nuclear survival bunkers and secret research facilities of our own civilization, there were those who arose from the underground "cities of the Gods", after the dust settled. They were the "prediluvian patriarchs", like Enoch and Methuselah, the "giants and heroes of old", mentioned in Genesis. The enigmatic gods of ancient Summer, Egypt and India, all hail from the fabulous times before the Flood.
