The Empire of Darkness Series #3: Evil Vempire's Creature Found in a Hole
As you may suspect, with the carefully staged "capture" of Iraq's former dictator, many anti-Bush Regime commentators satirically commented on this "formidable" achievement. You will find a substantial sampling of these articles in this compilation, plus several others related to various nefarious aspects of the Beast that is slowly strangling the planet in its ultimately vain attempt to prevail over the Forces of Light arraigned to soon "seal the door where evil dwells."
I think you get my drift...

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist."
- Dwight D. Eisenhower, from his farewell address
STUPIDEST QUOTE for today (According to "Paul Prior" firstname.lastname@example.org>)
"This is a great day of pride in the American military, a great day for the Iraqis, a great day for the American people and, frankly, a great day for the administration..."
- Howard Dean, designated Democrat opposition running for president

We Caught The Wrong Guy (Dec 15)
Saddam Hussein, former employee of the American federal government, was captured near a farmhouse in Tikrit in a raid performed by other employees of the American federal government. That sounds pretty deranged, right? Perhaps, but it is also accurate. The unifying thread binding together everyone assembled at that Tikrit farmhouse is the simple fact that all of them - the soldiers as well as Hussein - have received pay from the United States for services rendered. It is no small irony that Hussein, the Butcher of Baghdad, the monster under your bed lo these last twelve years, was paid probably ten thousand times more during his time as an American employee than the soldiers who caught him on Saturday night. The boys in the Reagan White House were generous with your tax dollars, and Hussein was a recipient of their largesse for the better part of a decade. (...) When they found Hussein hiding in that dirt hole in the ground, none of this stuff was down there with him. The full force of the American military has been likewise unable to locate it anywhere else. There is no evidence of al al Qaeda agents working with Hussein, and Bush was forced some weeks ago to publicly acknowledge that Hussein had nothing to do with September 11. The Niger uranium story was debunked last summer. Conventional wisdom now holds that none of this stuff was there to begin with, and all the clear statements from virtually everyone in the Bush administration squatting on the public record describing the existence of this stuff looks now like what it was then: A lot of overblown rhetoric and outright lies, designed to terrify the American people into supporting an unnecessary go-it-alone war. Said war made a few Bush cronies rich beyond the dreams of avarice while allowing some hawks in the Defense Department to play at empire-building, something they have been craving for more than ten years. (...) The other problem, that Osama fellow we should have been trying to capture this whole time, remains perched over our door like the raven.
Cheney oil firm accused of overcharging $61m in Iraq (Dec 13)
A Pentagon audit has found that Halliburton, the company formerly run by the US vice president, Dick Cheney, overcharged the government by $61m (about £35m) for delivering petrol to Iraq.
Thousands of Japanese denounce Iraq troop dispatch (December 15)
TOKYO - Thousands of protesters took to the streets of Tokyo on Sunday, denouncing a government decision to send troops to Iraq as a violation of Japan's pacifist constitution. Opposition lawmakers joined a rally organised by the largest labour union to condemn the cabinet go-ahead which opens the way for Japanese troops to assist in the reconstruction efforts in Iraq. "The main reason why we oppose (the decision) is that it goes beyond the constitution... We have long sworn not to exercise force overseas and we have stuck to it," Katsuya Okada, secretary-general of the main opposition the Democratic Party, told participants. "We must never send the Self-Defence Forces (SDF) to Iraq," added Mizuho Fukushima, head of the smaller Social Democratic Party, referring to Japan's military. Police and organisers said around 5,000 people gathered for the rally and marched through central Tokyo. They carried placards saying: "End to war" or "No to SDF dispatch." Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's cabinet approved a plan on Tuesday to send troops to Iraq, clearing the way for what is likely to be the nation's biggest and most dangerous overseas military mission since World War Two. (...) A poll by the Asahi Shimbun newspaper published last week showed 55 percent of respondents were against sending troop, while 34 percent said they supported the idea. CLIP
Village Voice Defies Media Blackout of Ellen Mariani's 9-11 Lawsuit Against Bush
James Ridgeway of the Village Voice is the first major reporter to discuss the RICO lawsuit against Bush filed by Ellen Mariani, widow of Louis Neil Mariani, who was aboard Flight 175 when it hit the south tower on 9-11. As written by attorney Phil Berg, "The suit claims [Bush & Co.] 'abetted the murder of plaintiff's husband,' so he is suing the Bushies, under the RICO Act, for conspiracy, obstruction of justice, and wrongful death. The suit documents detailed forewarnings from foreign governments and FBI agents, what it calls the unprecedented delinquency of our air defense, and the inexplicable half-hour dawdle by Bush himself at an elementary school after hearing the nation was under deadly attack. Berg's suit also notes the administration's incessant invocation of national security and executive privilege to withhold documents and accuses the government of obstructing the investigation." How will the Bush-controlled corporate media scrub this historic lawsuit? Stay tuned...
For Telling The Truth (Dec 14)
Few Americans have heard of Katharine Gun, a former British intelligence employee facing charges that she violated the Official Secrets Act. So far, the American press has ignored her. But the case raises profound questions about democracy and the public's right to know on both sides of the Atlantic. Ms. Gun's legal peril began in Britain on March 2, when the Observer newspaper exposed a highly secret memorandum by a top U.S. National Security Agency official. Dated Jan. 31, the memo outlined surveillance of a half-dozen delegations with swing votes on the U.N. Security Council, noting a focus on "the whole gamut of information that could give U.S. policy-makers an edge in obtaining results favorable to U.S. goals" - support for war on Iraq. (...) Katharine Gun's truth-telling did not stop the war on Iraq, but it did make a difference. Some analysts cite the uproar from the leaked memo as a key factor in the U.S.-British failure to get Security Council approval of a pro-war resolution before the invasion began in late March. The government of British Prime Minister Tony Blair quickly arrested Ms. Gun. In June, she formally lost her job as a translator at the top-secret Government Communications Headquarters in Gloucester. On Nov. 13, her name surfaced in the British news media when the Labor Party government dropped the other shoe, charging the 29-year-old woman with a breach of the Official Secrets Act. She faces up to two years in prison if convicted. (...) As it happened, the illegal bugging of diplomats from three continents in Manhattan foreshadowed the illegality of the war that was to come. Shortly before the invasion began, U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan pointed out that - in the absence of an authorizing resolution from the Security Council - an attack on Iraq would violate the U.N. Charter. CLIP
Scathing New Report on White House Secrecy (Dec 12 - Long but very revealing!)
(...) For the past three years, the Bush administration has quietly but efficiently dropped a shroud of secrecy across many critical operations of the federal government--cloaking its own affairs from scrutiny and removing from the public domain important information on health, safety, and environmental matters. The result has been a reversal of a decades-long trend of openness in government while making increasing amounts of information unavailable to the taxpayers who pay for its collection and analysis. Bush administration officials often cite the September 11 attacks as the reason for the enhanced secrecy. But as the Inauguration Day directive from Card indicates, the initiative to wall off records and information previously in the public domain began from Day 1. (...) There are no precise statistics on how much government information is rendered secret. One measure, though, can be seen in a tally of how many times officials classify records. In the first two years of Bush's term, his administration classified records some 44.5 million times, or about the same number as in President Clinton's last four years.
New Activist Network Slams Growing Abuses Under Bush
Key U.S. civil liberties and social justice groups marked International Human Rights Day Wednesday by launching a new 'U.S. Human Rights Network' dedicated to raising awareness about international human rights standards and focusing attention on the U.S. failure to enforce them. More than 50 groups, ranging from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) to the New York-based Center for Economic and Social Rights (CESR), said they had agreed to join forces to address what they said was 'the alarming rate of human rights violations in the U.S.'
Howard Dean: the Progressive Anti-War Candidate?
Howard Dean the liberal, anti-war candidate? The laughter rings most loudly in Vermont. As Dean's candidacy caught fire over the summer, a number of articles have appeared on the net examining his history and current stance on important national and international issues. They all point to a Clintonesque Republicrat whose stances are not far from that of the current administration. (...) Although he would likely be more sparing in its application, Dean has endorsed the Bush doctrine of preventive war, saying that he would not rule out using military force to disarm either North Korea or Iran. Dean has never voiced an objection to the notion that it is Washington's prerogative to decide which countries may have nuclear weapons, or its right to forcefully disarm those who do not do so voluntarily. In addition, Dean does not support cutting the defense budget, either for routine military expenditures, now at over one billion dollars/day, nor the extra supplementary appropriations to support the Iraq occupation, currently at four billion dollars/month. (...) When it comes to Israel and Palestine, Dean thinks the US should become more involved, but beyond that have no fundamental objections to the Bush administration policies in the region. He calls for an end to Palestinian violence against Israeli civilians, but not for a cessation of Israeli violence against Palestinian, nor an end to the Israeli occupation. He ignores Israeli defiance of UN Security Council resolutions and the Geneva Accords, and has been silent concerning withdrawal from Israel's illegal settlements in the occupied territories or even concerning a freeze on the new construction. His appointment of Steven Grossman, a former head of the pro-Israeli lobby AIPAC and ex-chairman of the DNC, to a top campaign fundraising post reflects his Zionist stance. Breakthrough and Peril for the Green Party (December 15)
SAN FRANCISCO Up against the campaign of a wealthy businessman who outspent him nearly 10-to-1, a strong progressive candidate nearly won the runoff election last Tuesday to become this city's mayor. Some national news stories depicted the strong showing for Matt Gonzalez as a big surprise. But it shouldn't perplex anyone when vigorous grassroots organizing combines with a sound strategy to get breakthrough results. Local elections in San Francisco are officially nonpartisan, and ballots don't indicate party affiliations. But the contenders spoke openly of their party labels. The Democrat in the race, Gavin Newsom, became so worried that Bill Clinton and Al Gore flew in to campaign for him. In contrast, Green Party member Gonzalez relied on several thousand active volunteers. Contrary to all the conventional media wisdom, the Gonzalez campaign surged to receive 47.4 percent of the votes. (...) If Nader runs for president again in 2004, his campaign seems doomed to be virtually opposite of the Gonzalez effort. Nader would be lucky to get half as many votes as his previous total of 2.7 percent nationwide. A Nader campaign would not offer voters a chance to wrest the White House away from the right wing. At a time when preventing a second presidential term for George W. Bush is a historic imperative, a Nader campaign would be at best beside the point. At worst, a gift to Karl Rove.
A Baghdad Thanksgiving's Lingering Aftertaste (Dec 12)
Stars and Stripes, the Pentagon-authorized newspaper of the U.S. military, is bucking for a court-martial. When last we checked in on Stripes, it was reporting on a survey it did of troops in Iraq, finding that half of those questioned described their units' moral as low and their training as insufficient and said they did not plan to reenlist. With the Pentagon just recovering from that, Stars and Stripes is blowing the whistle on President Bush's Thanksgiving visit to Baghdad, saying the cheering soldiers who met him were pre-screened and others showing up for a turkey dinner were turned away.
Eastern Europe faces HIV-AIDS epidemic (Dec 12)
The reintroduction of the free market into the former Eastern Bloc countries has unleashed a health catastrophe. Average life expectancy has plummeted and is down to 56 years in the former Soviet Union. Health experts are now warning that unless urgent action is taken, Eastern Europe faces an AIDS epidemic to equal that currently gripping Africa, where over two million people died of HIV/AIDS in 2003.

Thanks for the three wonderful compilations this week.
Global Mind Control Slated for 2004 was particularly fascinating and yet I suspect it is already here in many parts of the globe.
There has been a major though quiet trend here in the UK of what seems to be a massive emigration . Certainly the official figures show a trend of increasing numbers leaving the UK mainly for France and Spain it would seem-but the word on the street makes us feel that this is almost an exodus rather than a slight increase in numbers. People seem to be leaving in their thousands, mostly native Brits who have quite simply had enough and are getting out.
There is not much said about it, but week after week we hear of people leaving, selling up-just leaving and never wanting to come back. Mainly people in the 30-50 age group. My brother-in-law was one, he moved to Spain earlier this year. On the street where he lived' 14 houses were up for sale. Of those 14, 11 were emigrating to Europe when the sales completed. We moved from England to Scotland for the same reasons-just to get away from the English mentality and endless warmongering, the whole dammed attitude. Granted it is not so far to move but the Scots still have a very different mindset from the English and it suits us. From the family we left behind we hear of the increasing difficulty of living back down there, everyone is stressed and depressed, even my 18 year old son who surely should be at the most exuberant point in his life. My 25 year old daughter and her partner are having their second baby next year-she is thinking of leaving Britain for good, not wanting to bring her daughter up in this country, yet saddened at feeling she has to move to get away from it all.
Its not good here in the UK, the pressure is on and the heat is rising. It is becoming an apathetic nation, one which is severely depressed and too exhausted to do much about it, but people are just moving and I wonder whether this is also happening elsewhere? Its like people don't want to make a big fuss about what they feel or see, they just want to get out.

Jessica Lynch Captures Saddam: Ex-Dictator Demands Back Pay From Baker
by Greg Palast, GregPalast.com, December 14, 2003
Former Iraqi strongman Saddam Hussein was taken into custody yesterday at 8:30p.m. Baghdad time. Various television executives, White House spin doctors and propaganda experts at the Pentagon are at this time wrestling with the question of whether to claim PFC Jessica Lynch seized the ex-potentate or that Saddam surrendered after close hand-to-hand combat with current Iraqi strongman Paul Bremer III.
Ex-President Hussein himself told US military interrogators that he had surfaced after hearing of the appointment of his long-time associate James Baker III to settle Iraq's debts. "Hey, my homeboy Jim owes me big time," Mr. Hussein stated. He asserted that Baker and the prior Bush regime, "owe me my back pay. After all I did for these guys you'd think they'd have the decency to pay up."
The Iraqi dictator then went on to list the "hits" he conducted on behalf of the Baker-Bush administrations, ending with the invasion of Kuwait in 1990, authorized by the former US secretary of state Baker.
Mr. Hussein cited the transcript of his meeting on July 25, 1990 in Baghdad with US Ambassador April Glaspie. When Saddam asked Glaspie if the US would object to an attack on Kuwait over the small emirate's theft of Iraqi oil, America's Ambassador told him, "We have no opinion.... Secretary [of State James] Baker has directed me to emphasize the instruction ... that Kuwait is not associated with America."
Glaspie, in Congressional testimony in 1991, did not deny the authenticity of the recording of her meeting with Saddam which world diplomats took as US acquiescence to an Iraqi invasion.
While having his hair styled by US military makeover artists, Saddam listed jobs completed at the request of his allies in the Carter, Reagan and Bush administrations for which he claims back wages:
1979: Seizes power with US approval; moves allegiance from Soviets to USA in Cold War.
1980: Invades Iran, then the "Unicycle of Evil," with US encouragement and arms.
1982: Reagan regime removes Saddam's regime from official US list of state sponsors of terrorism.
1983: Saddam hosts Donald Rumsfeld in Baghdad. Agrees to "go steady" with US corporate suppliers.
1984: US Commerce Department issues license for export of aflatoxin to Iraq useable in biological weapons.
1988: Kurds in Halabja, Iraq, gassed.
1987-88: US warships destroy Iranian oil platforms in Gulf and break Iranian blockade of Iraq shipping lanes, tipping war advantage back to Saddam.
In Baghdad today, the US-installed replacement for Saddam, Paul Bremer, appeared to acknowledge his predecessor Saddam's prior work for the US State Department when he told Iraqis, "For decades, you suffered at the hands of this cruel man. For decades, Saddam Hussein divided you and threatened an attack on your neighbors."
In reaction to the Bremer speech, Mr. Hussein said, "Do you think those decades of causing suffering, division and fear come cheap?" Noting that for half of that period, the suffering, division and threats were supported by Washington, Saddam added, "So where's the thanks? You'd think I'd at least get a gold watch or something for all those years on US payroll."
In a televised address from the Oval Office, George W. Bush raised Saddam's hopes of compensation when he cited Iraq's "dark and painful history" under the US-sponsored Hussein dictatorship.
Saddam was also heartened by Mr. Bush's promise that, "The capture of Saddam Hussein does not mean the end of violence in Iraq." With new attacks by and on US and other foreign occupation forces, the former strongman stated, "It's reassuring to know my legacy of darkness and pain for Iraqis will continue under the leadership of President Bush."
While lauding the capture of Mr. Hussein, experts caution that the War on Terror is far from over, noting that Osama bin Laden, James Baker and George W. Bush remain at large.

We Finally Got Our Frankenstein... by Michael Moore (December 14)
And He Was In A Spider Hole! MichaelMoore.com -- Thank God Saddam is finally back in American hands! He must have really missed us. Man, he sure looked bad! But, at least he got a free dental exam today. That's something most Americans can't get. America used to like Saddam. We LOVED Saddam. We funded him. We armed him. We helped him gas Iranian troops. But then he screwed up. He invaded the dictatorship of Kuwait and, in doing so, did the worst thing imaginable -- he threatened an even BETTER friend of ours: the dictatorship of Saudi Arabia, and its vast oil reserves. The Bushes and the Saudi royal family were and are close business partners, and Saddam, back in 1990, committed a royal blunder by getting a little too close to their wealthy holdings. Things went downhill for Saddam from there. But it wasn't always that way. Saddam was our good friend and ally. We supported his regime. It wasn't the first time we had helped a murderer. We liked playing Dr. Frankenstein. We created a lot of monsters -- the Shah of Iran, Somoza of Nicaragua, Pinochet of Chile -- and then we expressed ignorance or shock when they ran amok and massacred people. We liked Saddam because he was willing to fight the Ayatollah. So we made sure that he got billions of dollars to purchase weapons. Weapons of mass destruction. That's right, he had them. We should know -- we gave them to him! We allowed and encouraged American corporations to do business with Saddam in the 1980s. That's how he got chemical and biological agents so he could use them in chemical and biological weapons. Here's the list of some of the stuff we sent him (according to a 1994 U.S. Senate report): * Bacillus Anthracis, cause of anthrax. * Clostridium Botulinum, a source of botulinum toxin. * Histoplasma Capsulatam, cause of a disease attacking lungs, brain, spinal cord, and heart. * Brucella Melitensis, a bacteria that can damage major organs. * Clostridium Perfringens, a highly toxic bacteria causing systemic illness. * Clostridium tetani, a highly toxigenic substance. And here are some of the American corporations who helped to prop Saddam up by doing business with him: AT&T, Bechtel, Caterpillar, Dow Chemical, Dupont, Kodak, Hewlett-Packard, and IBM (for a full list of companies and descriptions of how they helped Saddam, http://www.laweekly.com/ink/03/23/news-crogan.php). Saddam by Meria Heller (Dec 14)
The big story - Saddam was caught. My thoughts so far: Is it Saddam? We won't know until independent DNA testing is done. Will he live? When does the lone nut shooter show up? Will he have an open trial and be able to TALK? Where are the WMD? Why are the Democrats slamming each other and slamming Howard Dean for being anti-war? Joe Lieberman the only one to say Saddam should be killed? (spoken as a true zionist) Wasn't December 13th a favorite day of the illuminati to act? Does the timing on this "capture" seem odd? Bush suddenly says "god bless the Iraqi people and god bless America"? Sen. Arlen Spector (homeland security), John Warner and Joe Biden all think there should be a trial in Iraq, and open to the press and world. This should be used as an oppty for peace. All of them blowing smoke up Bush's skirts. (if this happens, I will be shocked) Suddenly the Saudi's say they won't be selling oil in Euros, even with the decline of the U.S. dollar? Does this have to do with Jim Baker going to Iraq and taking care of his Saudi investors money owed from Iraq? Someone tried to assassinate Musharraf this morning. The building in Iraq, the Palestine Hotel which houses international journalists get car bombed the same time Hussein gets caught? I find all these events rather odd. Don't you? Oh, by the way, the flu that's going around is supposedly a worldwide pandemic, without a flu shot to cure this particular strain, yet that didn't stop them from selling out all the other flu vaccine they have, although it doesn't address THIS flu. So what's the point? (follow the money). HMO's are now saying they'll pay for flumist since there's no more vaccine left. Well, flumist has been proven to be dangerous. They are estimating hundreds of thousands to die from this flu. (population control?) I see a correlation to the chemtrail spraying and this worldwide pandemic. Flu in all 50 states? Odd. CLIP
They Got The Wrong Guy: Bush is the real criminal, not Saddam - by John Kaminski
War is peace, Orwell said. It has never been clearer than now. The theatrical apprehension of fallen Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein from his pathetic hole in the dirt is a prima facie example of how the American vision of life and the world has become totally twisted. It was the culmination of an unjust war against a defenseless people, this ritual roughing up of a tired old man who was never more than a puppet following the orders of the master manipulators who always planned to do him in when it became convenient. Saddam was never a danger to America, despite all the pre-war rhetoric that has all been proven false. George W. Bush - and Bill Clinton and the elder Bush before him - killed many times more Iraqis than Saddam ever did. The 20,000 or so Iraqi innocents who perished in the recent bombing of the Cradle of Civilization were at least ten times more than the number of political malcontents who ran afoul of the murderous machismo of Saddam's inflexible rule, and the utter destruction of this functioning nation-state was certainly something Hussein never contemplated. Better Living Through Satire (Dec 15)
(...) To the people of Iraq, I have a message. You will not have to fear the rule of Saddam Hussein ever again. Gone are the torture chambers, secret police, and Baathist corruption. And in their place are Camp X-Ray, a trigger-happy occupying army, and Halliburton contracts. Sure, you may still be without electricity, but those dandy car bombs sure light up the night. Fortunately, you can take heart in knowing that in the history of Iraq, the sun has risen on a hopeful day, revealing a gleaming American boot, whose enormous Christian sole you are required to lick with fevered reverence while your vast oil reserves are quietly siphoned into American supertankers. (...) WhiteHouse.org "reports" that we have a new national holiday: "NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSPresident of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the peerless arsenal of the United States military-industrial complex, do hereby proclaim December 15, 2003, to be National Victory Over the Guy Who Isn't Osama Bin Laden Day."

Hussein Continues to Be the Convenient 'Demon' - and Patsy - of the Bush Oil Dynasty
Lloyd Hart writes: "I find it very interesting that just a few days after the American appointed governing council in Iraq votes to begin a tribunal for Iraqi war criminals (even though no constitution has been ratified that could legitimize any form of Judiciary in Iraq) Saddam Hussein conveniently shows up. The U.S. must have had Saddam Hussein on ice as the Bush regime pressed the governing council to put together the so-called human rights tribunal. The question I have is, if Milosevic can be sent to The Hague why can't Saddam? Unfortunately the murder of 30,000 plus Iraqi civilians in order to take control of the 'oil' using Saddam Hussein as the demon that both Bush regimes focused on to distract us from the real goal, 'oil', is a human rights violation comparable to any thing Saddam Hussein may have committed himself along with his regime members."
Bush Cartel Sets Up Closed Iraq War Crimes Tribunal on Dec. 10 - Captures Saddam on the 13th
Saddam always said he'd tell the world of his real connections with the Reagan and Bush administrations if he got the chance. Now, thanks to an "amazing coincidence," he won't get his day in a world court. That's because 3 days before his alleged capture, the Bush interim government in Iraq set up a special war crimes tribunal that will be closed to the world
except for "outside experts" (hand-picked by the Bush junta, of course). How very, very convenient. As the AFP reported on December 10, "Back in Iraq...the Governing Council approved late last night the creation of an Iraqi penal tribunal to try former members of Saddam Hussein's regime for their crimes against humanity.

Saddam Sideshow Obscures Reality (December 14)
Finally, nine long months after the onset of America's war on Iraq, there he was being paraded for all to see: Saddam Hussein. Looking somewhat more like a refugee than a deposed tyrant, Hussein was poked, prodded and probed by an American doctor in full view of tens of millions in America and around the world Sunday morning, just in time to pre-empt the Sunday political talk shows. As CBS surrounded its repetitive presentation of the tape snippet with Rather-blather about this being "game, set, and match" for George Bush in next year's elections, the media factories generating "American Pride(tm)" swung into overdrive. The swirling, animated eagle-and-flag graphics, the breathless commentary about this meaning "a new respect" for America in the Mideast and around the world, and the militaristic musical fanfares heralding the impending commercial breaks all conspired to convince the public that this was the most significant event since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Saddam's Capture Will Not Stop The Relentless Killings From Insurgents
Robert Fisk in Baghdad
FORWARDED BY "Jean-Pierre Caron" email@example.com>
A.N.S.W.E.R. STATEMENT ON RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN IRAQ
Dec. 14, 2003
The U.S. military capture of Iraqi president Saddam Hussein is being trumpeted by the corporate media and the Bush administration as simultaneously a great victory, the start of a new era, and justification for the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq.
The seizure and public display of Saddam Hussein may be a propaganda victory for imperialism, but it changes nothing fundamental about the situation in Iraq, particularly the reality that the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq constitute a blatant and brutal violation of both international and U.S. law.
While hailing the detention of Saddam Hussein after an intense 8-month search, the current co-dictators of Iraq, L. Paul Bremer and Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, are expressing the hope of the Bush administration as a whole that this development will signal the beginning of the end for the Iraqi resistance.
But intensifying Iraqi resistance to the illegal and colonial war and occupation has not been primarily based - according even to the more knowledgeable corporate media journalists in Iraq - on loyalty to any particular individual. Instead, it is a response to the negation of Iraq's sovereignty and independence, as well as the increasing brutality of the occupying army.
Even supporters of Bush's war such as Sen. Jay Rockefeller, Vice-Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, are raising questions: "Given the location and circumstances of his capture, it makes clear that Saddam was not managing the insurgency. ... That is significant and disturbing because it means the insurgents are not fighting for Saddam, they're fighting against the United States."
There can be no question that the Iraq occupation is a colonial project in every respect. The U.S.-appointed "Iraq Governing Council" is headed by CIA asset Ahmed Chalabi, whose family was the richest in all of Iraq when the British-controlled regime was overthrown in 1958. All of Iraq's assets are being put on the auction block.
The U.S. is setting up colonial-style Iraqi police, intelligence services, and paramilitary death squads. It is taking and holding family members hostage, including children and grandparents, to force Iraqis to submit themselves for "interrogation." U.S. forces are using "Israeli-style" collective punishment and violence against the population as a whole in large parts of the country.
"With a heavy dose of fear and violence, and a lot of money for projects, I think we can convince these people that we are here to help them," stated a U.S. battalion commander in Iraq (New York Times, December 7, 2003). He was speaking from one of the many Iraq villages that the U.S. has wrapped in razor wire, holding entire communities prisoner. A sign on the barbed wire reads, in English only, "This fence is here for your protection. Do not approach or try to cross, or you will be shot."
The U.S. government has a long history of destabilizing and overthrowing governments and replacing them with brutal dictatorships. One need only look at Iran, the Congo, Guatemala, and Chile to know that the democratic or undemocratic character of the government targeted by the U.S. has never been the motivation for its actions. In that context the U.S. government has supported the most brutal dictatorships and military regimes.
The long standing demonization of the former Iraqi government followed by the invasion and occupation of Iraq is part of a larger global project by the United States to militarily destroy any government that seeks to maintain even nominal independence from the dictates of Washington and Wall Street. The leadership of North Korea, Iran, Syria, Zimbabwe, Cuba, Palestine and others have been selected by the Bush administration for destruction. This stands in fundamental violation of the right of self determination. Only the Iraqi people have the right to determine who their leaders will be.
People should keep in mind as they watch the forthcoming carefully packaged documentary of the "crimes" of the former Iraqi government, that the Bush administration has taken tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi lives, has plunged Iraq into chaos and anarchy, and has removed the essential features of sovereignty for the Iraqi people who struggled in the past for decades against colonial rule.
The occupation is taking the lives of Iraqis, U.S. and other "coalition" forces every day. While Halliburton, Bechtel and other U.S. corporations are reaping immense profits, the people both here and there are paying the price for Bush and his corporate friends' looting spree, in blood and money. According to administration figures, the cost of the Iraq occupation is 210 million dollars every day. The administration has stated that it need not bother to count the number of Iraqis that it kills.
We will continue and intensify our mobilizing work to demand: "End the Occupation, Bring the Troops Home NOW! Money for Jobs, Health Care and Education, Not for War and Occupation."

Baker Takes the Loaf
By Greg Palast
09 December 2003
Well, ho ho ho! It's an early Christmas for James Baker III.
All year the elves at his law firm, Baker Botts of Texas, have been working day and night to prevent the families of the victims of the September 11 attack from seeking information from Saudi Arabia on the Kingdom's funding of Al Qaeda fronts.
It's tough work, but this week came the payoff when President Bush appointed Baker Botts' senior partner to "restructure" the debts of the nation of Iraq.
And who will net the big bucks under Jim Baker's plan? Answer: his client, Saudi Arabia, which claims $30.7 billion due from Iraq (plus $12 billion in "reparations" from the First Gulf war).
Let's ponder what's going on here.
We are talking about something called 'sovereign debt.' And unless George Bush has finally named himself Pasha of Iraq, he is not their sovereign. Mr. Bush has no authority to seize control of that nation's assets nor its debts.
But our President isn't going to let something as meaningless as international law stand in the way of a quick buck for Mr. Baker. To get around the wee issue that Bush has no legal authority to mess with Iraq's debt, the White House has crafted a neat little subterfuge. The President, says the official press release, has not appointed Baker, rather Mr. Bush is, "responding to a request from the Iraqi Governing Council." That is, Bush is acting on the authority of the puppet government he imposed on Iraqis at gunpoint.
(I will grant the Iraqi 'government' has some knowledge of international finance. Its key member, Ahmed Chalabi, is a convicted bank swindler.)
The Bush team must see the other advantage in having the rump government of Iraq make the choice of Mr. Baker. The US Senate will not have to review or confirm the appointment.
If you remember, Henry Kissinger ran away from the September 11 commission, with his consulting firm tucked between his legs, after the Senate demanded he reveal his client list. In the case of Jim Baker, who will be acting as a de facto Treasury secretary for international affairs, our elected Congress will have no chance to ask him who is paying his firm nor even require him to get off conflicting payrolls.
For the Bush administration, this marks a new low in their Conflicts-R-Us appointments process. Or maybe there's no conflict at all. If you see Jim Baker's new job as working not to protect a new Iraqi democracy but to protect the old theocracy of Saudi Arabia, the conflict disappears.
Iraq owes something on the order of $120 billion to $150 billion, depending on who's counting. And who's counting is very important.
Much of the so-called debt to Saudi Arabia was given to Saddam Hussein to fight a proxy war for the Saudis against their hated foe, the Shi'ia of Iran. And as disclosed by a former Saudi diplomat, the kingdom's sheiks handed about $7 billion to Saddam under the table in the 1980's to build an "Islamic bomb."
Should Iraqis today and those not yet born have to be put in a debtor's prison to pay off the secret payouts to Saddam?
James Wolfensohn says 'No!' Wolfensohn, president of the World Bank, has never been on my Christmas card list, but in this case, he's got it right: Iraq should simply cancel $120 billion in debt.
Normally, the World Bank is in charge of post-war debt restructuring. That's why the official name of the World Bank is "International Bank for Reconstruction and Development." This is the Bank's expertise. Bush has rushed Baker in to pre-empt the debt write-off the World Bank would have certainly promoted.
"I Fixed Florida"
Why is our President so concerned with the wishes of Mr. Baker's clientele? What does Bush owe Baker? Let me count the ways, beginning with the 2000 election.
Just last week Baker said, "I fixed the election in Florida for George Bush." That was the gravamen of his remarks to an audience of Russian big wigs as reported to me by my somewhat astonished colleagues with BBC television.
It was Baker, as consiglieri to the Bush family, who came up with the strategy of maneuvering the 2000 Florida vote count into a Supreme Court packed with politicos.
Baker's claim to have fixed the election was not a confession, it was a boast. He meant to dazzle current and potential clients in the former Soviet states about his big In with the Big Boy in the White House. Baker's firm is already a top player in the Great Game of seizing Caspian Sea oil. (An executive of Exxon-Mobil, one of Baker Botts's clients, has been charged with evading taxes on bribes paid in Kazakhstan.)
All in the Family
Over the years, Jim Baker has taken responsibility for putting bread on the Bush family table. As Senior Counsel to Carlyle, the arms-dealing investment group, Baker arranged for the firm to hire both President Bush 41 after he was booted from the White House and President Bush 43 while his daddy was still in office.
Come to think of it, maybe I'm being a bit too dismissive of the Iraqi make-believe government. After all, it's not as if George Bush were elected by the voters either. It would be more accurate to say that two puppet governments have agreed on letting the man who has always pulled the strings come out from behind the curtain, take a bow, take charge, take the money, and run.
Give Responsibly This Holiday Season
December 11, 2002
Washington, D.C.As the 2002 holiday season gets underway, more and more shopping-weary and debt-stricken consumers are ready to embrace a less consumptive holiday.
Gift giving is one of the greatest pleasures of the holiday season, says Worldwatch Institute researcher Lisa Mastny. Its ironic that a tradition centered on joy is now a growing burden on both households and the Earth. Consumers are spending larger amounts of time and money tracking down the perfect gifts for their family and friends, and many are growing tired and frustrated in the process.
This year, the average American household will budget an estimated $1,656 for holiday spending, of which $1,073 will be used to purchase gifts, according to the American Express Retail Index on holiday shopping.
In the UK, the average person now spends 15 hours looking for Christmas gifts, makes five separate shopping trips, walks a total of 20 miles in the quest for gifts, and spends two hours in line to pay, reports The Guardian. Analysts predict that nearly a quarter of UK holiday purchases this year will be charged on credit cards, saddling consumers with nearly $3 billion in debt by the end of January and costing them $33 million in interest payments for that month alone.
The holidays also present a challenge to the environment. A recent study by Environmental Defense (http://www.environmentaldefense.org/go/catalogs) calculated that a whopping 3.6 million tons of paper were used to produce the roughly 59 catalogs mailed to every man, woman, and child in the United States last year. Only three of the countrys 42 leading catalog companies surveyed reported using recycled paper in the body of their mailings, even though by switching to just 10 percent recycled content, the entire catalog industry would save enough wood to stretch a six-foot fence across the U.S. seven times.
The Maryland-based Center for a New American Dream reports that more than half of Americans feel that reducing their spending on gifts would allow them to focus more on the true meaning of the holidays.
How can holiday buyers recapture their time and their money while also helping to protect the environment? Some are opting out of seasonal spending altogether. For the past 11 years, the advocacy group Adbusters (www.adbusters.org/campaigns/bnd) has urged consumers worldwide to celebrate Buy Nothing Day, traditionally held on the day after Thanksgiving, the biggest shopping day in America.
Other groups are urging consumers to redirect their holiday spending to more environmentally friendly or socially responsible ends, such as boosting global conservation efforts and supporting families that are less fortunate. For example:
Heifer International (http://www.heifer.org) offers consumers the chance to help struggling families in the developing world move toward self-sufficiency by giving the gift of livestock for plowing power, food, and income. In 2001, projects in 48 countries worldwide helped more than 45,000 families obtain animals and training.
The non-profit group SERRV International (http://www.serrv.org) markets the handicrafts and food products of people in developing countries in a fair and equitable way, in an effort to promote social and economic justice. In 2000, SERRVs sales of crafts, coffee, chocolate, and other products totaled $5.7 million.
The Sea Turtle Survival League (http://www.cccturtle.org) urges shoppers to adopt an endangered sea turtle in the name of a loved one, with the proceeds going to sea turtle conservation. The World Wildlife Fund (http://www.worldwildlife.org)
offers a similar option for polar bears through its Polar Bear Adoption Center. The Center for a New American Dreams Simplify the Holidays campaign (http://www.newdream.org/holiday/index.html) outlines a wide range of creative options to help holiday celebrants enjoy a less-consumptive yet still fun and fulfilling holiday season.

In a country where the poor and old cannot afford health care, in a country where the economy is falling apart, more people laid off every day, in a country where 44 million people live on less than $12,000 dollars a year, in a nation where 5 million people are homeless, in a country where the entire media system is owned by only six media mega conglomerates, in a nation with the highest crime rate, in a country with the world's largest prison population, in a society where 60% of marriages end in divorce, in a country where 25% of kids under 12 live in poverty, in a country that cut 25 billion dollars out of veterans benefits to help pay for a new war, in a country where the gulf between the rich and poor is growing everyday, in a nation that supports dictatorships in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Turkey, in a country where the government is full of corruption, in a country with the world's highest teen suicide and stress rates... and you're telling me our biggest problems are TERRORISM and DRUGS? -- BULLSHIT!

'Anti-Semitism' and 'Fundamentalism'
By Yamin Zakaria
"The use of the term 'anti-Semitism' is also extremely perplexing at times. For example, many Arabs are more Semitic in race than many of the Jews of Eastern Europe, yet they are often categorized as 'anti-Semitic' for expressing their anger about Israel's continuous Judaisation of the remainder of Palestine. Similarly, it is equally perplexing to see Europe's desire to extinguish the guilt it has accumulated due to centuries of anti-Jewish pogroms in European cities, which culminated with the 'Nazi Holocaust' (Shoah), as they have sought to remove the burden of their (European) crime by handing over land belonging to another people to the Jews."..........read the complete article at:

Twenty soldiers jumped out, stormed into the building, put handcuffs on eight members of the Federation's executive board, and took them into detention. "They gave no reason at all, despite being asked over and over," says IFTU spokesperson Abdullah Muhsin. Soldiers painted over the name of the federation on the front of the building with black paint, Muhsin says. BILLIONS AND BILLIONS OBSERVED
World Population to Level Off at About 9 Billion, Says U.N.
Population growth is expected to slow dramatically over the coming decades, but the number of people on the planet is still likely to reach 8.9 billion by 2050, up from 6.3 billion today, according to a new U.N. report released this week. Granted, that's not the sort of runaway growth experienced during the 20th century, when the world's population nearly quadrupled, but that's still 2.6 billion new people on what many feel is an already cramped planet. By 2300, the population level is expected to stabilize at 9 billion. That's notably smaller than U.N. forecasts from just two years ago, when demographers predicted a population of 9.4 billion by 2050. The slowdown in growth will likely be driven by women bearing fewer children; fertility rates have dropped from about 6 children per woman in 1900 to about 2.7 children today, and they're expected to fall further. On a darker note, the AIDS epidemic is also a factor in the slower population growth.

HIS PARK IS BIGGER THAN HIS BITE
Chile Dedicates New Nature Park on Land Purchased by Rich American
Some 738,000 acres of pristine rainforest in southern Chile will get official billing as a nature sanctuary today, thanks to a deal between U.S. tycoon Doug Tompkins and the Chilean government. Tompkins, cofounder of the sportswear company Esprit, paid more than $30 million for the land and spent many years trying to get it officially protected. Now that the government has agreed to do so, control of the area, dubbed Parque Pumalin, will be handed off to a seven-member Chilean directorate. Tompkins created a huge controversy when he first purchased the land, and some Chileans still bristle at the notion of a wealthy outsider buying up a sizable chunk of their country. In all, Tompkins has created 11 wilderness parks encompassing almost 2 million acres in Chile and Argentina. Most other rich foreigners operating in the region are inclined toward less noble pursuits: building resorts, drilling for oil, and mining for gold.

[Awesome report! New information on the toxic cosmic effects of fluoridation, plus. I excerpted bits of this as I read it, but I highly recommend that you read the entire piece. The chemicals in our world are actually cutting us off from our Source.
If you put the EDCs (endocrine disrupting chemicals/organochlorides), this information on fluoride (which also destroys the pineal gland/the Third Eye that traditionally allows us to access the Invisible Realms), together with chemtrails, mind control ( http://www.softagent.net/tools_silent.html ), and the assault on us by the monopoly-media propaganda - then you may come to the conclusion that either the human race is totally insane and doesn't deserve to survive - or someone, somewhere, actually does want to eradicate us. ---S]
The Battle of Darkness & Light
by Mary Sparrowdancer 12-14-3
It was due to my growing concerns about our country's growing health problems as well as the erosion of our civil liberties that, in November of 2002, I published a paper focusing upon both of these issues and spoke about them on several radio programs. The paper quietly made its way through Washington, D.C., and then around the world.
The paper detailed the "revolving door" in Washington, D.C., an apparent turnstile between private industries and the United States government. Through this invisible door, industry managers pass directly into the very agencies that govern industry - the government's food, drug, agricultural and chemical regulatory departments - in order to influence regulations or speed the approval of their company's products. The paper, "Let Them Eat Anything," showed this unholy alliance, the conflict of interest that has contributed to a mounting epidemic of health problems in the United States. (1)
I expected the paper to provoke comments, but I did not expect it to result in my being contacted by a nutrition expert who had worked in the USDA. She called to thank me for writing the paper. Incredibly, because light was the topic of my previous book detailing a personal Near Death Experience and ongoing, unexplained encounters with light phenomena, in an example of incomparable synchronicity, the name of the former USDA expert who contacted me was Luise Light.
I read the first email I received from Luise Light with a sense of astonishment. Luise had been the former team leader and Special Nutrition Assistant to USDA's Carol Tucker Foreman - who is described as "a prominent food safety advocate" by Eric Schlosser in his best-selling book, Fast Food Nation.
From her personal experience, Dr. Light confirmed not only the revolving door I had described in my paper, but in addition, the corruption within the "government" taking place just on the other side of that door. Here, from an eyewitness, came the truth that individuals representing corporations are not only holding key government positions, they have also been determining which studies are done, who receives grants, and they have been "adjusting" the reports in order to create a false sense of security about their favored products and services.
With the promise of corporate gain and personal profit, the industry "representatives" have been making important decisions affecting all of us profoundly. For the most part, the general public has been unaware of this partnership between private business and our publicly funded federal government.
...seeking relief from something else tormenting them within. In 2001, Americans were spending their money in an attempt to seek relief from personal and profound depression - another symptom that, along with weight problems, is known to occur as a result of thyroid malfunction. It was another signal telling us that something was affecting not only our bodies, but our minds and emotions.
...Pharmaceuticals such as methylphenidate, now in popular use, stimulate the frontal lobes in order to heighten the brain's ability to filter out noncritical parts of the daily barrage of stimuli. This pharmaceutical appears to at least temporarily improve the behavioral symptoms of agitation, hyperactivity and inattention in children whose brains are otherwise unable to filter stimuli on their own.
While stimulants might improve outward symptoms, though, research now indicates that within the right brain, most notably within the right temporal lobe and hippocampus regions, there exists an extremely unusual area of neuroreceptors and transmitters. It is this area of the brain that is believed to be the connection between the human individual and the still unexplained realm of the mystical and the divine - the realm of divinely perceived Light. For this reason, this area of the brain is now being referred to by some researchers as the "God Spot"- what might be our most important connection of all.
Despite the fact that this extraordinary realm of Light is largely bypassed as noncritical by the majority of researchers, many individuals have now described numerous, similar experiences with the Light, indicating such experience is not as uncommon as orthodox science has assumed. In examining some of the oldest texts in human history, it is apparent that interactions with Beings of Light have, since the earliest of times, been the most cherished and desired of all human experiences. Writings from ancient Egypt describe journeys into the Light and contact with beings and messengers. "Manna," was the expression voiced by startled Egyptians on seeing the living entities emerging from the light. "Manna," meant, "what is this?"
We can judge from the unprecedented volume of prescriptions for psychiatric drugs that something is having a profoundly depressing influence upon the human mind at this time. Something is happening within our brains that is manifesting as anxiety, depression and impaired cognitive abilities - this much we know. Because adequate research of the God-Spot is not an "approved" field of study, however, we have no scientific reports warning us if the God connection in the brain is also being damaged at this time. Again, we have only outward signs to observe - signals indicating something is blocking our access to the most important light of our lives, and symptoms that speak to a growing angst, darkness and the loneliness of godlessness.
Although our increasing inability to perceive the divine and understand the full extent of our human capabilities remains largely ignored by those discrediting or rejecting "paranormal" research, the growing epidemic of anxiety, depression and overwhelming despair in this country's children deserves the attention of all of us. It should be considered a national emergency, and a national tragedy.
As Americans' afflictions continue to unfold unlike anything else that humanity has known and brought upon itself, we also learn that the material, once thought unable to cross the blood-brain barrier, crosses it rather well. It also concentrates in the pineal gland that is located within the brain.
1945 marked the year that "public health officials" in America began their experimentation on human beings with water fluoridation.
In what would turn out to be the biggest human experimentation in history, sodium fluoride - NaF - was added into American's drinking water in selected communities under the medical claim that the F would prevent dental caries (cavities) in children. Those receiving this experimental, medicinal treatment in their drinking water, received it then as they do now: They are forced to ingest it, inhale it, bathe and shower in it, whether or not they want or even need this toxic chemical in their bodies.
...the CDC's National Fluoridation Engineer has publicly stated that all fluoride compounds currently used for water fluorination are "byproducts of the phosphate fertilizer industry." (54)
Because of the toxic nature of this compound, the SiF being added to drinking water is an industrial waste that would otherwise have to be disposed of by the industry that created it, and it would have to be disposed of according to the Hazardous Materials Regulations (HAZMAT). Disposal of toxic substances under hazmat regulations, however, results in an expense for the industries.
...studies have shown that in doses as low as 3 mg per day, fluoride has produced toxic effects on male reproductive hormones. Despite what Americans are being told by fluoridation promoters, the negative effects of F upon both body and mind have not only been discovered, but they have also been duly reported, albeit in areas and texts that most Americans - including professionals - do not regularly access, subscribe to or read. (61, 62, 63, 64)
Perhaps the most amazing fact of all discovered by those daring to ask questions, is the fact that the F compound being added into our drinking water under a promised, medicinal claim, has not ever been approved by the FDA.
"Fighting Gum Disease: How to Keep Your Teeth," might have actually contained a warning about fluoride.
According to a patent application that can be located through the US Patent and Trademark Office, the following statement was given as supporting evidence by researchers applying for patent
636150, filed on April 22, 1996: "We have found that fluoride, in the concentration range in which it is employed for the prevention of dental caries, stimulates the production of prostaglandins and thereby exacerbates the inflammatory response in gingivitis and periodontitis." The claim for which these researchers were seeking a patent was, "A method for preventing dental caries and at the same time controlling periodontal bone loss precipitated by the fluoride..."
... other sources are ongoing fluoride contamination of the air and environment by Superfund sites, fluoride contamination in animal feeds, pesticides, cigarette smoke, coal combustion, in fertilizers being incorporated into soils, the fluoride that is contained in plastics and in nonstick cookware, the fluoride contamination of human foods as well as canned/bottled juices, soft drinks and other beverages, and the fluoride that is added to an overwhelming number of pharmaceutical products, including antibiotics, steroids, molecular imaging tracking agents, anesthetics, vitamins and antidepressants.
As though even more fluoride were somehow needed by a nation that is clearly already overdosed, the list also does not include one of the most highly concentrated sources of fluoride that is purchased by most Americans and used daily: Conventional toothpastes. Most toothpastes have a fluoride content that is so potentially lethal, a poison warning must be displayed on their labels. ...
In what must be the most bizarre examples of conflicting and confusing in formation, while "public health officials" in many states are using words such as "enforcement" when it comes to keeping fluoride in people's drinking water, the notice on the toothpaste tubes warns specifically against the ingestion of the fluoride product. The government's Medline encyclopedia gives the following prognosis following an ingested toothpaste overdose: "For fluoridated toothpastes -- If the patient survives for 48 hours, recovery is usually likely." (70)
...only preliminary estimates available regarding how much F is absorbed through the skin and lungs even though over half of all Americans now have no choice but to stand naked in their showers and be completely contaminated by F water - and then pay for it in their utility bill. Estimates suggest that dermal and pulmonary absorption of F are far more efficient routes than ingestion by mouth, as was demonstrated over a half century ago by the Nazis during their experimentation with lethal, fluorinated nerve gases.
One statement prepared by J. William Hirzy, Ph.D. of the EPA Headquarters Union of scientists, summarizes the stand of approximately 1500 scientists and professionals in Washington, D.C. "... our opposition to drinking water fluoridation has grown, based on the scientific literature documenting the increasingly out-of-control exposures to fluoride, the lack of benefit to dental health from ingestion of fluoride and the hazards to human health from such ingestion. These hazards include acute toxic hazard, such as to people with impaired kidney function, as well as chronic toxic hazards of gene mutations, cancer, reproductive effects, neurotoxicity, bone pathology and dental fluorosis."
Fluoride can now be suspected in a host of illnesses including GERD, gum disease, bone problems, diabetes, thyroid malfunction and mental impairment. As stated earlier, a significant number of the health and mental problems in the US are more pronounced in boys. Because tryptophan, serotonin and the melatonin formed in the pineal gland are specifically associated with behavior (both aggressive and nonaggressive), with mood, sleep, appetite control, mucosal function of the gastrointestinal tract, regulation of cells and a host of other functions of the body, it appears that something is disturbing the proper functioning of the messengers, thus resulting in outward signs of disease and behavioral problems. (93, 94, 95)
Additionally, fluoride has now been found to accumulate in extremely high concentrations within the pineal gland where melatonin is formed. This observation was made during postmortem examinations by researcher Jennifer Luke, DDS, PhD. A known neurotoxin, fluoride has also been shown to cause nerve cell degeneration, resulting in an outright disruption of motor coordination. It has also been shown to inhibit and interfere with the production of insulin, interfere with thyroid function and to directly affect thought process. (96, 97, 98, 99, 100)
The outward signs, however, are but the symptoms, the end results - the effects. Having found the effect, one must look at the smallest of the small details to find the cause. There in the small details, in the nucleus of the symphony where the divine is meant to sing, something else is, instead, lying: Fluoride has now also been identified as interfering with G-protein messages. A messenger of utter falsehood, fluoride both activates and inhibits cellular activity. (101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106)
This means that fluoride, along with those promoting it, is sending out some rather confusing messages. (107)
The fluoridation plan for the schools' drinking water, however, differed slightly from the municipal fluoridation plans. The CDC guidelines suggested that school children's drinking water should be fluoridated at approximately 4.5 times the amount suggested for municipal fluoridation.
It is not unreasonable to assume that children might now be showing signs not only of dental fluorosis - which has been visible for years in the United States - but also signs of systemic fluorosis manifesting in ways that have nothing to do with their teeth.
With a manmade, toxic substance now effectively sending false messages throughout the minds and bodies of most Americans, it is not unreasonable to suggest that previously unheard-of behavioral and mood problems might be directly related to that manmade substance which is sending out those false messages. Along with the new, bizarre fascination with darkness that appears to be growing in this country's juveniles, there seems to be a new aloofness and a growing lack of compassion.
In some children there appears to be a growing inability to think clearly beyond the moment at hand, and an inability to avoid bizarre and impulsive behavior. In some boys, there appears to be a growing inability to feel, and therefore an inability to behave in a manner that considers the feelings of others. School bullying, once a rare and punishable offense, is simply seen now as "life in the real world," as the principal of a notably violent middle school in Tallahassee told me. Along with an inability to feel, there is a growing inability to even perceive a concept of the divine. Instead, there appears to be a growing willingness to follow dark, provocative and charismatic leaders who are now easily leading their young disciples directly into hell.
There is also a growing reverence for Nazi philosophy reported among some school children, nationwide.
Researchers who dare to study this area of human experience, do so facing professional humiliation from peers, although such research may actually be critical to the well-being of humanity. Those who guard the borders of acceptable research are often quite skeptical or disapproving of what they contend is mere "paranormal" speculation, and for this reason, that area of study has been largely avoided by professionals and researchers.
