Heroes of Our Times Series #2: Featuring James Twyman, Cathy Buckle, Deepak Chopra and Others

Hello everyone

Trying to catch up with some of the material I could not send you last week. Be sure to check James Twyman's invitation to a Prayer Vigil for Korea for this afternoon 3:33 pm local time (#1 below).

As usual there is lots more coming your way. Feel free to share your comments on any of the subjects included in my compilations - for possible inclusion in one of them.

"Spiritual evolution is learning to live without fear. It is learning to live with full trust in the power of love, which is the most powerful force in the universe."

- Matthew Ward - taken from More Revelations For A New Era, the third book by Suzy Ward (not released yet). More details on the first books at http://www.matthewbooks.com

“Decide to forgive for resentment is negative. Resentment is poisonous. Resentment diminishes and devours the self. Be the first to forgive, to smile and to take the first step and you will see happiness bloom on the face of your brother or sister. Be always the first. Do not wait for others to forgive, for by the forgiving you become the master of fate, the fashioner of life, the doer of miracles. To forgive is the highest most beautiful form of Love. In return you will receive untold Peace and Happiness.”

Prayer Vigil for Korea: 03/03/03 at 3:33 PM local time

Please spread the word.

On March 3, 2003, James Twyman, Neale Donald Walsch and others will join Dr. Ilchi Lee, the creator of Dahn Hak, to dedicate the University for Peace in Seoul, South Korea. (The University of Peace is an affiliate of the United Nations.) On that same day, at exactly 3:33 PM wherever you are, millions of people around the world will join together in praying the "Declaration of Humanity" written by Dr. Lee. The prayer will be recited every hour as we move from one time zone to another, blanketing the whole world in Peace.

Only a few weeks ago, James Twyman led a peace mission to Israel and millions joined him in Praying Peace for the Middle East. Scientists were on hand to measure the impact of the vigil, and their studies show that violent incidents in Israel decreased 50% or more the next day. We will employ the same technology again, and we KNOW that the results will be the same for Korea. Peace Prevails in Korea and all the world because we have the power to make it so.

(For the 100,000 people who participated in the Spoonbenders Course, simply follow the instructions we used for the Great Experiment before praying the Declaration of Humanity.)

At 3:33 PM wherever you are on 03/03/03, feel within your heart that peace already exists in North and South Korea. You are not asking for peace to prevail, but rather, KNOWING it is in place NOW! Then, when you are ready, pray this beautiful prayer from Dr. Lee with great enthusiasm:

The Declaration of Humanity:

I declare that I am a Spiritual Being, an essential and eternal part of the Soul of Humanity, one and indivisible.

I declare that I am a Human Being whose rights and security ultimately depend on assuring the human rights of all people of Earth.

I declare that I am a Child of the Earth, with the will and awareness to work for goals that benefit the entire community of life on Earth.

I declare that I am a Healer, with the power and purpose to heal the many forms of divisions and conflicts that exist on Earth.

I declare that I am a Protector, with the knowledge and the responsibility to help the Earth recover her natural harmony and beauty.

I declare that I am an Activist, with the commitment and the ability to make a positive difference in my society.

Then give thanks that our spiritual work has had a powerful effect. Gratitude is one of the most important parts of the process. And please pass this email to everyone you know. Let this declaration spread across the planet time zone after times zone on March 3rd.

Note from Jean: Here are some of the latest updates on the situation in North Korea...

North Korea warns war on Korean Peninsula will turn into worldwide nuclear disaster (March 2) http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20030302/ap_wo_en_ge/as_gen_nkorea_nuclear_disaster_1
SEOUL, South Korea - North Korea said Sunday that if the United States attacks it, the conflict will turn into a nuclear war and cause "nuclear disasters" in Asia and the entire world. The North's official Rodong Sinmun newspaper accused the CIA of preparing a surprise attack on the communist country's nuclear facilities. CLIP

U.S. Sees Quick Start of North Korea Nuclear Site (Feb 28 in The New York Times)
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nyt/20030301/ts_nyt/u_s__sees_quick_start_of_north_korea_nuclear_site
Officials expect that in the next few weeks North Korea will turn on the reprocessing plant that can produce weapons-grade plutonium. (...) "Once they start reprocessing, it's a bomb a month from now until summer." (...) Mr. Bush is clearly trying to sow some concern among North Korea's leaders that the United States could be provoked into a precision strike on the single, above-ground reprocessor building. He has, in recent weeks, begun twinning his reassurances that the United States has "no intention of invading" North Korea with a warning that he would keep "all military options open." (...) "If you won't talk to them you won't get a freeze," General Scowcroft said recently. Like Mr. Armitage, he said he had no doubt the North Koreans would sell their plutonium. To Mr. Bush, engaging in such talks is giving in to nuclear blackmail.

A STORY ON THE TERRIBLY DIFFICULT SITUATION IN ZIMBABWE

From: "Bronwen White" <bronwen1@telkomsa.net>
Subject: Fw: Life in Zimbabwe
Date: 27 Feb 2003

This was written by Cathy Buckle, author of "African Tears" and "Beyond Tears", she lives in Zimbabwe.

22 Jan 2003

Dear Family and Friends,

I, along with 11 million others living in Zimbabwe, was desperately searching either for food or petrol. There was none of the latter so I spent my Friday morning trudging from shop to shop and after three hours gratefully clutched 2 loaves of bread I had finally tracked down for 4 times the official price. I know I should not buy food on the black market but principles pale into insignificance when you have a hungry child to feed.

This is the face of life in Zimbabwe today and yet the English Cricket Board are still debating whether or not it is right to come and play cricket here and are worrying about who will pay them compensation if they don't come.

I wonder if the ICC know that it is illegal for 5 or more people to hold a meeting in Zimbabwe without police permission? I wonder if they care while they stay in our 5 star hotels, we can't even buy food on the black market without first producing cards proving we support the ruling party. I am sure that both the ICC and the cricket players themselves know all of this but they say they are purely a sporting body and not a political one. It was OK for them to boycott sport in apartheid South Africa and Ian Smith's Rhodesia but not in Zimbabwe now. White people oppressing blacks was wrong, now it is black people oppressing black people, it is apparently OK. The ICC have shown who the real racists are here. Their hypocrisy and racism is disgusting and nauseating.

The South African Minister of Labour visited Zimbabwe and declared that South Africa had a lot to learn from us. If I was a South African I'd either be picketing parliament right now or packing my bags. We have: 175% inflation; 70% unemployment; Zimbabwe has completely run out of petrol so if one hears of any to be had (probably unpaid for from SA) 5 kilometre queues form and there is no bread, milk, maize, sugar, flour or cooking oil to buy. One dozen eggs cost R66.00 and 4 loo rolls cost R70 now. 6.8 million Zimbabweans are facing starvation, 2 million of our citizens have been forced to leave the country, one person dies every 5 minutes from aids related malnutrition, inflation is at 175% and yet the world is in an uproar about 6 cricket matches. Cricket doesn't really seem appropriate does it?

State House is next door to the grounds where the World Cup Cricket matches are to be played. One of my friends was on the way to the cricket grounds, took a wrong turn and did a U turn near State House. His car was surrounded by armed men, everything was pulled out of his car, he was interrogated, taken behind a wall where he was knocked down and kicked in his head. 5hrs later he got home exhausted in shock and his ear drum had ruptured. I finally tracked down some very expensive vegetable seeds in a butchery but my shock at their price was overshadowed by the sight in front of me. Sitting in a supermarket trolley was a cow's head - eyes, ears, horns and fur intact. I made a point of expressing my disgust to the owner of the shop who simply shrugged his shoulders. Zimbabwe has slipped into a contagious epidemic of moral decline where no one cares, no one complains and everyone just shrugs their shoulders.

There is no gas which means there are month long backlogs of bodies waiting to be cremated at the morgues where gas fired ovens are used. The chronic shortage of fuel means there are very few delivery vehicles. The supermarket shelves are getting emptier by the day. In our small town this month our only commercial veterinary surgery closes down, our only private dentist has closed, two of our private doctors have announced that they are leaving, one headmaster has already left and another leaves before winter. A 100 year old town is on its very last legs.

I thank you for helping me spread the word about my two books: African Tears and Beyond Tears, which are both, still the only eye witness accounts to have been written about Zimbabwe's horrors since 2000. I hope I am able to send this letter now and that you are able to receive it because Zimbabwe's entire email system collapsed this week.

With love,

Cathy

Zimbabwe News - Letters from Cathy Buckle and lots more!
http://africantears.netfirms.com/
(...) Democracy, as understood by the "free" world, no longer exists in Zimbabwe. Huge swathes of the countryside have been turned into "no go" areas by the ruling party's thugs who are now known as "war veterans". This means that no news, other than Government spin doctoring, comes forth. When the ugly truth finally does come out, the world will be horrified. The truth is that there is absolutely no rule of law. The elections which were held in March 2002 were rigged by the ruling party. Currently, ZanuPF are illegitimately "ruling" the country. Human rights abuses have continued unabated. Cathy Buckle is just one of the people who have the courage and conviction to let the world know what she sees and experiences on a daily basis. The reality is that while you read this, crimes against humanity are in progress and very little, if anything, is being done to stop this madness. State sponsored terror and anarchy continues unabated.....

(...) On 8th August 2002, 93% of Zimbabwe's commercial farmers have been ordered (by an illegal regime) to leave their farms, their homes and their livelihoods. The downstream impact is that 1,500,000 people (men, women and children) will become unemployed economic refugees with nowhere to go. The ramifications of this madness are going to affect the well-being and food security of Southern Africa for years to come. The worst is still to come. Famine is now entrenched and most African leaders must shoulder blame because they have remained silent.

ON FEB 28 I ALSO RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING FROM CATHY BUCKLE WHO WROTE (in part):

Dear Jean

(...) I am an ordinary woman, a single mum, an author and freelance writer struggling to survive after not receiving any of the royalties or serializations payments due from Covos Books, the original publishers of my first book - African Tears. Both books ("African Tears" or "Beyond
Tears") are now published and handled entirely by Jonathan Ball Publishers in South Africa. Copies are freely available in South Africa, have just arrived in Australia, are due in the UK shortly and can be ordered from the South African websites: http://www.exclusivebooks.com and http://www.kalahari.net

If there is anything you would like to know about me please ask me directly. I write a weekly letter from Zimbabwe and this and archive copies can be found on my website: http://africantears.netfirms.com

My situation (because of my outspokenness) in Zimbabwe is extremely fragile. I am so grateful for your desire to help expose the dire situation here but please ask me for facts so as not to jeopardize my safety.

Thank you,

Cathy Buckle, in Zimbabwe.

NOTE from Jean: If any of you would like to offer any kind of assistance to Cathy to help her bring to the attention of the world the tragic situation experienced by millions of her Zimbabwean brothers and sisters -- *ours* as well! -- please feel free to get in touch with her directly at "Cathy Buckle" <cbuckle@zol.co.zw>

Chopra Wants To Send Pope, Dalai Lama, & Himself As Human Shields To Iraq

GURU WOULD JOIN POPE IN FRONT OF BOMBS

By Michael Lollar

February 27, 2003

From: http://www.gomemphis.com/mca/america_at_war/article/0,1426,MCA_945_17743 89,0 0.html

Deepak Chopra, the doctor who is bringing his brand of East-meets-West philosophy to Memphis, proposed Wednesday that the Pope, the Dalai Lama and himself serve as human shields to avoid bombing in Iraq and to rid the world of Saddam Hussein.

"There are creative solutions no matter what the problem is," said Chopra, the Indian-born physician and spiritualist who has become one of the world's best-selling authors as a proponent of holistic health and healing.

Chopra, an endocrinologist, blends Western medicine with Eastern mysticism and has sold more than 10 million books through the Chopra Center for Well Being in La Jolla, Calif. He has become like a Western counterpart to Tibet's Dalai Lama, and a secular humanist with the kind of influence wielded in the religious world by evangelist Billy Graham. A Time magazine story in December called Chopra "arguably the world's most influential guru."

In his upcoming Memphis appearance, Chopra said he "will be talking in general about the evolution of consciousness."

As part of the concept, Chopra said even the most difficult problems can be solved by moving to a "higher level. If you go to the same level on which the problem was created then you can't (resolve it)."

In Iraq, Chopra said the "situation is really out of hand in the sense that everybody has become very self-righteous and committed to a violent solution. The creative solution now would be to get the Pope, the Dalai Lama, celebrities and a few who have a voice all over the world to sit and act as human shields so we can avoid a lot of death and destruction. I would love to go with them.

"If we bombed Baghdad tonight and thousands of children died, most people would be unaffected. But if the Pope was there we wouldn't do it. Isn't that funny?"

Chopra said he would hope to be joined by heads of state and "tens of thousands of people" from around the world as part of a human-shield movement. Once the threat of bombing subsided, he said the same peace contingent could turn its attention to "a total disarming of Saddam Hussein." The Iraqi leader should have no further say, but be given "asylum and a safe haven," Chopra said.

The human shield movement is a growing phenomenon with Iraq welcoming volunteers and putting them up in a dormlike facility in a Baghdad hotel. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld has warned that those serving as human shields in Iraq will be treated as war criminals. As of last week, more than 130 volunteers, including about 18 Americans, had arrived in Baghdad to act as shields -- some at specific sites such as the Baghdad South Power Plant.

The Dalai Lama's offices in the West are in London and could not be reached last night. In Memphis, Msgr. Peter Buchignani, vicar general of the Catholic Diocese of Memphis and pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, said he doubts the ailing Pope would become a human shield. "I certainly respect the idea, and, of course, I can't speak for the Pope, but, personally, I don't see that as a solution." Buchignani said the Catholic Church's position now is that a unilateral declaration of war against Iraq is not justified and should only be a last resort.

On his Web site (http://www.chopra.com), Chopra mentions a new Global Strategic Alliance for the New Humanity, where international issues from saving rain forests to war can be addressed. Groups ranging from orphanages to environmentalists are being organized under the alliance to serve as what Chopra calls "peace cells. Even in the West Bank, Gaza and Israel they have peace cells. You and I know more about what Winona Ryder stole from that stupid shop than what these people are doing in the world."

A failure of the role of the liberal media

MEDIA LENS: Correcting for the distorted vision of the corporate media

February 28, 2003

MEDIA ALERT: OUTRAGEOUS OMISSIONS

How The Press Has Buried The Truth Of Iraqi Disarmament

The Bush and Blair governments are dragging the public kicking and screaming into a war that threatens to plunge the world into chaos and which almost nobody wants. Like an occupying force, British politicians representing elite interests from both leading political parties are blatantly defying the will of the British public, just as their counterparts are defying the public in Turkey where 90% of the population is opposed to war in all circumstances, in Spain where 79% is opposed to war in all circumstances, and in Italy where 80% is opposed.

This would be outrageous enough, but there is more. A massive assault is being planned against a crushed Third World country that was demolished by the US/UK in the original Gulf War, by continuous (and now all but daily) bombing raids since, and by murderous sanctions that have been described as "genocidal" by senior United Nations diplomats who resigned in protest.

But even this is not the whole story. The British and US governments, with the near 100% complicity of the mainstream media, are basing their arguments for war on two key deceptions:

1) Iraq has large quantities of deadly weapons of mass destruction (WMD), which it is not prepared to disclose or surrender.

2) Iraq has had 12 years to disarm but has never done so - a further 120 days of weapons inspections (as proposed by the Franco-German initiative) are therefore pointless.

Desperate to stick to their early to mid-March timetable for war, the British and US governments have declared the futility of further inspections. Tony Blair has dismissed the Franco-German plan for peaceful disarmament, saying it was "absurd" to think UN inspectors could find lethal weapons without Baghdad's full cooperation:

"The idea that inspectors could conceivably sniff out the weapons... without the help of Iraqi authorities is absurd," the prime minister told parliament. "They are not a detective agency and even if they were Iraq is a country with a land mass roughly the size of France." (Mike Peacock, 'Britain's Blair Slams Franco-German Iraq Plan', Reuters, February 25, 2003)

In reality, Blair's key claims are flatly contradicted by the UNSCOM inspectors who sought to disarm Iraq between 1991-98.

Fundamentally Eliminated - The View From UNSCOM And Elsewhere

In 'Concerning Disarmament and Current and Future Ongoing Monitoring and Verification Issues, 27 March 1999, a United Nations Panel reported:

"In spite of well-known difficult circumstances, UNSCOM and IAEA have been effective in uncovering and destroying many elements of Iraq's proscribed weapons programmes in accordance with the mandate provided by the Security Council. It is the panel's understanding that IAEA has been able to devise a technically coherent picture of Iraq's nuclear weapons programme. UNSCOM has achieved considerable progress in establishing material balances of Iraq's proscribed weapons. Although important elements still have to be resolved, the bulk of Iraq's proscribed weapons programmes has been eliminated." (http://www.un.org/Depts/unmovic/documents/Amorim%20Report.htm)

Corroborating this, an article in Newsweek (February 24 - SEE The Defector's Secret at http://www.msnbc.com/news/876128.asp) raises questions about whether the WMD stockpiles attributed to Iraq still exist. Newsweek reports that the Iraqi weapons chief who defected from the regime in 1995, Gen. Hussein Kamel, who was killed after returning to Iraq in 1996, told UN inspectors that Iraq had destroyed its entire stockpile of chemical and biological weapons and banned missiles, as Iraq claims.

In its latest Media Advisory, the US media watch group FAIR reports how Gen. Kamel was previously best known for his role in exposing Iraq's deceptions concerning its pre-Gulf War development of biological weapons. But Newsweek's John Barry has obtained the transcript of Kamel's 1995 debriefing by officials from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and UNSCOM. This transcript reveals how the US and UK have kept the public from the truth.

(See

Inspectors were told "that after the Gulf War, Iraq destroyed all its chemical and biological weapons stocks and the missiles to deliver them," Barry writes. All that remained were "hidden blueprints, computer disks, microfiches" and production moulds. The weapons were destroyed secretly, in order to hide their existence from inspectors, in the hopes of resuming production after inspections had finished.

The CIA and MI6 were told the same story, Barry reports, and "a military aide who defected with Kamel... backed Kamel's assertions about the destruction of WMD stocks". These statements were "hushed up by the U.N. inspectors" in order to "bluff Saddam into disclosing still more". (FAIR, Media Advisory: 'Star Witness on Iraq Said Weapons Were Destroyed - Bombshell revelation from a defector cited by White House and press', February 27, 2003, http://www.fair.org/press-releases/kamel.html)

In the transcript, Kamel says categorically:

"I ordered destruction of all chemical weapons. All weapons - biological, chemical, missile, nuclear were destroyed." (See Glen Rangwala's analysis of the Kamel transcript: http://middleeastreference.org.uk/kamel.html)

Kamel was an extremely high-profile defector who has been repeatedly cited as a credible source by George Bush, Tony Blair and leading administration officials. Kamel was, for example, mentioned in Secretary of State Colin Powell's infamous February 5 presentation to the UN Security Council:

"It took years for Iraq to finally admit that it had produced four tons of the deadly nerve agent, VX... The admission only came out after inspectors collected documentation as a result of the defection of Hussein Kamel, Saddam Hussein's late son-in-law."

In an earlier Media Advisory, FAIR reported that some of the current UNMOVIC inspectors believe that Iraq may indeed be free of all banned weapons:

"We haven't found an iota of concealed material yet," one unnamed UNMOVIC official told Los Angeles Times Baghdad correspondent Sergei Loiko (December 31, 2002), who added:

"The inspector said his colleagues think it possible that Iraq really has eliminated its banned materials." (Fair, Media Advisory: 'Iraq's Hidden Weapons: From Allegation to Fact', February 4, 2003 http://www.fair.org/press-releases/iraq-weapons.html)

In an April 2002 briefing, 'A Threat to the World? The facts about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction', Cambridge analyst Glen Rangwala writes:

"UNSCOM recorded how there was compliance with most of its work for over seven years of intrusive inspections. As a result, UNSCOM's executive chairman Rolf Ekeus reported to the Security Council on 11 April 1997 that ' not much is unknown about Iraq's retained proscribed weapons capabilities'."

Many of the weapons inspectors have candidly recorded the extensive disarmament of Iraq. Reviewing the 9 years of Iraqi disarmament, Rolf Ekeus stated in a presentation at Harvard University on 23 May 2000 that "in all areas we have eliminated Iraq's [WMD] capabilities fundamentally". (http://www.arabmediawatch.com/iraq/reading/artgr6.htm)

As we have reported, chief UNSCOM weapons inspector, Scott Ritter, has described how Iraq was "fundamentally disarmed", with 90-95% of its weapons of mass destruction eliminated between 1991-98. Of nuclear weapons capability, for example, Ritter says:

"When I left Iraq in 1998... the infrastructure and facilities had been 100% eliminated. There's no doubt about that. All of their instruments and facilities had been destroyed. The weapons design facility had been destroyed. The production equipment had been hunted down and destroyed. And we had in place means to monitor - both from vehicles and from the air - the gamma rays that accompany attempts to enrich uranium or plutonium. We never found anything." (Ritter and William Rivers Pitt, War On Iraq, Profile Books, 2002, p.26)

Ritter explains how UN arms inspectors roamed the country monitoring Iraq's chemical, biological and nuclear facilities, installing sensitive sniffers and cameras and performing no-notice inspections:

"We blanketed Iraq - every research and development facility, every university, every school, every hospital, every beer factory..." (p.38)

Two Notes On The Media

1) All of the above - crucial information relating to the current crisis - has been almost completely excluded from the media. People simply do not know that there are good reasons for thinking that Iraq has no WMD, and that arms inspections of the kind taking place now have been enormously successful in disarming Iraq in the past. Incredibly, there has been almost no discussion on the success of the 1991-98 UNSCOM inspections - an obviously key issue for understanding the worth of the current inspection process - and almost no mention of the opinions of previous inspectors describing "fundamental disarmament".

As a result of this media silence, politicians have been free to talk endlessly of the threat from Iraq's WMD, and of its lamentable failure to cooperate and disarm peacefully. In a recent BBC Question Time programme, UK environment minister Michael Meacher said that "no one would argue that Saddam Hussein doesn't have weapons of mass destruction" (February 27) - the entire panel appeared to be in agreement.

2) John Pilger aside, no mainstream journalist has sought to draw attention to this deep complicity of the media in suppressing the most important facts contradicting the US/UK case for war. Even radical journalists like Robert Fisk, Greg Palast and George Monbiot have failed to discuss the role of the liberal media - The Guardian, The Observer, The Independent, the Independent on Sunday, and the BBC and ITN news - in burying these facts and in thereby making war possible.

Although the performance of the media has been appalling throughout this crisis, as we have documented, there remains a 'gentleman's agreement' among journalists whereby it is understood that media hosting a journalist's work should not be criticised (just as all corporate employees understand they are not to criticise their company's product in front of customers). This means that radical journalists - who all work for liberal media companies - are silent on the complicity of the media publishing them, such that these media are protected from all honest public criticism. This has long been unacceptable in a 'free press', but it is a genuine disaster for democracy now when these same liberal media are playing a key role in denying the public access to the most important facts that completely undermine the case for an unnecessary and grossly immoral war. As the ancient sage, Nagarjuna, warns:

"Not doing harm to others, Not bowing down to the ignoble, Not abandoning the path of virtue - These are small points, but of great Importance."

Now is the time for honesty, truth, dissent, protest and resignations - we must +not+ subordinate the welfare of others to our own self-interest. We must not bow down to the ignoble.

SUGGESTED ACTION:

The goal of Media Lens is to promote rationality, compassion and respect for others. In writing letters to journalists, we strongly urge readers to maintain a polite, non-aggressive and non-abusive tone.

SAMPLE LETTER

Dear Sir

Why have you ignored the authoritative claims of UNSCOM inspectors and others to the effect that Iraq was "fundamentally disarmed" by December 1998? In 1999, a United Nations Panel reported:

"[I]n spite of well-known difficult circumstances, UNSCOM and IAEA have been effective in uncovering and destroying many elements of Iraq's proscribed weapons programmes in accordance with the mandate provided by the Security Council... UNSCOM has achieved considerable progress in establishing material balances of Iraq's proscribed weapons. Although important elements still have to be resolved, the bulk of Iraq's proscribed weapons programmes has been eliminated." (Report of the First Panel, Established pursuant to the Note by the President of the Security Council on 30 January 1999 (S/1999/100), http://www.un.org/Depts/unmovic/documents/Amorim%20Report.htm)

Reviewing the 9 years of Iraqi disarmament, UNSCOM's executive chairman Rolf Ekeus stated in a presentation at Harvard University on 23 May 2000 that "in all areas we have eliminated Iraq's [WMD] capabilities fundamentally".' (http://www.arabmediawatch.com/iraq/reading/artgr6.htm)

Chief UNSCOM weapons inspector, Scott Ritter, has described how Iraq was "fundamentally disarmed", with 90-95% of its weapons of mass destruction eliminated between 1991-98.

Why have you not reported and urgently highlighted these vital facts undermining the US/UK case for dismissing further inspections?
